Well, Academy's F-14A 'Bombcat' comes with a pretty trick sprue of stuff including glove pylons, a LANTIRN pod/adapter, BOL rails, and such. though easier might be to look into some Steel Beach resin (Darren Roberts here on the forums is the maker). they sell BOL rails, LANTIRN adaptor, Bomb racks, PTID/LANTIRN stick, ect. Spruebrothers carries his entire line, just search 'Steel Beach 1:48 F-14'.

Unquestionably Revell's is more accurate and is devoid of the few shape issues the Acad fuselage has. But I'll still take either new Acad boxing in a heartbeat over Revell's Echo.

Yep, the parts will intermatch. The Iron Eagle jets were early block F-16Bs, block 5/10 with the small elevons, so you'll need to either trim the stock ones or buy Wolfpack Design block 5/10 elevons. I thought the main thing holding down Iran's Alicats were TF-30 compressor blades (?). Not such an easy item to dig out of an aircraft late at night and not make much noise/evidence, right?

It looks to me that all you need to do is reshape the noses of the missiles; fin setup looks identical.
