hello, i am looking for decals, 1/72 in particular, for CVW-3 aircraft (tail: AC) aboard USS John F Kennedy and EA-6B of VAQ-140 aboard USS Eisenhower with tail letters AG. sorry if this post is mis-placed, could anyone help me? thanks in advance
-
that's correct Andre, but i wonder if the new Aardvark-style nose of the M3 Backfire-C can be attached with one?
-
if you're looking for F-14's first cruise, you can try Hasegawa K-40 "Wolf Pack"
-
The Wolf Pack (K-40) is with decals for 4 planes: VF-1/100, VF-1/111, VF-14, and VF-32. It's the only one i know to come with dielectric beavertail panel (a streamlined one for no. VF-1/111) since I had all the hasegawa tomcats early models (K-38 Atlantic Squadrons, K-39 Pacific F.S., K-14 Low Vis, and K-14X High Vis)

thanks for the responses, i got a book "Military Aircraft" in 1984 that describes the Backfire-B of AV-MF still has the refueling probe. Later models' probe is removed due START treaty.

Started building the ICM Foxhound, the 31B interceptor model, not the BM multirole. the Revell one is stored for spares, thank you for all the help, will show the result when it's completed

Hello, i just got an old ESCI-ERTL Tu-26 Backfire, the Cold War B-model with nose refueling probe. I found out that the decal has gotten damaged as it's wet or damp, probably by improper storage. Since ESCI no longer exist, does anyone know where to find replacement decal? Thanks for the help

I did that too, still, the tail sits too low than it should be. (as if there will be no rotation during takeoff or landing)
-
IMO, Italeri is the best bet, but mine got the main gears went too deep in the fitting hole
-
Just before i started building the blue-78, i found out that this Revell Mig-31B didn't have refueling probes. checked the other (particularly ICM) they have ones. and wing loadouts for Kaliningrad unit is likely 4 AA-8 instead of 2 AA-6 but the former missiles and racks plus the refueling probe are not included. I have ordered a set of Russian missiles, but the probe remains a headache, should i switch to ICM? then the revell one would be on sale.

I got one from Hobby Craft a 1/72, it's marked bort no. Yellow 16 from Kiev Aircraft Cruiser. It's my first kit of USSR/Rusia planes. At first, i make it in Vertical mode with lift jets opened, but since survived an accidental thrashing, i changed to normal deck position.
-
hi, i haven't build it, yet, but got one in delivery, it's a 1/72 from Old Model Kits
-
yes, Hannants is expensive... i used to work in 1/72
-
hi, thanks for the responses. The first cruise Wolfpack (NK-101/NK-111) is my first F-14 model, and I foolishly cut the dielectric panels to resemble newer ones. as soon as i realize that, i bought another kits, but Wolfpack is already gone from the market (and so does the old tail)

hi, years ago, i had 1/72 F-14A kits from Hasegawa: the Wolf Pack. the kit's tail around the fuel dump is faired/streamlined. i happen to own 6 F-14 models, but only one has streamlined tail. is there ever any real F-14 with streamlined tail?
