  7. This kit is awesome. I found these pictures on some British website. This Tempest was presented during IPMS UK Scale Modelworld 2009 and is completely scratchbuilt. Just wanted to share with you this amazing work. The model took about 4 years to complete. I think this guy would commit suicide if he ever notices that he forgot one rivet on his model !! Respect !
  8. MAtrixone, Thanks for these very useful tips, that will save me time in the learning process. Now I got to buy the baby !!
  9. I found this that might be perfect: here I will give it a try first at a local hobby shop before buying on internet. I think that it might be perfect for 1/48 fighters with basic paintings or complicated ww2 german camos.
  10. I had exactly the same problem using Mr. Mark Softer on my Academy model with the Cartograf decals provided...
  11. Also, you can do as above, but instead of using salt you can use a liquid masking solution. After painting you just peel off the mask. You can also pre-paint your subject in silver, then coat you model, paint the camo and finally use some tape to reveal the first layer of painting
  12. I'd like to sincerely thank all of you for your comprehensive answers. I can see clearer now thanks to you guys :D . 1 last question: For let's say a 1/72 fighter with Luftwaffe mottle, what nozzle diameter should I buy ? 0.3mm is enough I guess, am I right ?
  13. @ventura_kelley: That's a pretty good tip you are giving me now since I like making models with weathering. Ok, now I know that I need gravity feed . Good ! Also, on a more technical poit of view: How much pressure is needed ? What nozzle diameter to use for german camo/panel lines painting/light weathering ?
  14. Well, another "vote" for Iwata ^_^ I favor 1/48 scale for fighters and do, sometimes, a few 1/72 bombers
  15. @Chuck1945: Thanks ! to answer your question affordable is max. 200 Euros (+- 300 USD). Also I'dlike to do some Luftwaffe camo, so I guess gravity feed is a must @Ventura: Thanks also! Indeed I prefer to buy good stuff right now and not 2nd hand
