  3. Odd isn't it that Revell can knock out the likes of the 1/32 Ju88 at a fraction of the price.
  4. Ok guys I am back, :D Anyway, I digress, I bought a 200mm Resin Afghanistan British Para with a Gimpy off evilbay and part of the sale price went to Help the Heros........ have thought about that I have decided to build, paint, mount and sell it back on evilbay and donate whatever it makes to Help the Heroes.. sort of a double wammy, now to make this worse for myself I decided to paint it, the lot........ I can tell you doing the Union Jack on his arm was fun, but painting the netting over his camo on the helmet had my eyes on storks lol, but I think it works...... ok arm and head on bluetac

  7. Thanks guys, Suprisingly it is only about 4 basic colours, and they are Vallejo Acrylics, I simply paint , seal with Humbrol matt rattlecan varnish add a wash, seal, add another etc and build it up, goes on really easy and builds up well, suprisingly it does not take a lot of time. matt was also sprayed over the window panes in various amounts to simulate aged glass, a tint of paint was also added on the odd one between coats. On the underside I left a couple of panels in grey primer and also sprayed one or two in red primer then added the white to the rest as the basis to add repairs etc...
  8. Hi guys, this is work in progress and it was suggested I post some details on here, my idea is an abandoned version of her, straight out of the box but with a few add ons to beef up the poor detailing on some parts, it is all painted with a hairy stick over an aerosol of matt white base...... Hope you approve Ok here we go, will post more as I progress  hope you like.

you will need a plugin like remove white, this will leave the panel lines on their own, then you make up say a white base layer and paint between the two on various layers to build the scheme up. Ready made markings, fonts to download and giuides on doing them can be found here http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/

    D-Day Stripes

1st might be neat, but by the time you got to no 15 it would be just slapped on......... even the Spit we have here when measuring them, ( should be 18 inches) it varied by up to an inch on some stripes, and that was done in peacetime with all the time in the world to do it right

  14. Hi Guys, I was registered here before but have misplaced my passwords Doh!! This is my 200MM Resin figure that I am doing, need to sort out his ciggy that I forgot, so put in a bit of plastic rod in for the piccies. The kit ammo belt I had disintegrated, so I will leave as is for the time being, even though part is hanging through the other side of the gun..... will probably scratch build it. Kit as per box, had to make up the sling for the gun, used speedtape also drilled out the business end...... TOP TIP I was given and it works, use a drop of gloss varnish in his eyes to make em sparkle,
