I finished an AirTran A319 earlier this year, and the exact match is XtraColor # XT365 (AirTran Blue/Green). I ordered the paint from rollmodels.com.

Yep, I'm talking about the exposed gun muzzles and unfortunately I threw out BOTH of those kit parts when I threw away the sprue and box! :-( Anyway, I'm sure I can craft a new muzzle out of a plastic rod.

Hi all, I'm almost finished building a HobbyBoss 1/48 A-10 with Eduard exterior photoetch, but I just accidentally smashed the flimsy photoetch Avenger cannon (cylinder shape with holes) when I dropped the front end of the plane on my workbench. I tried molding it back into shape, but it looks terrible now....plus I already threw out the plastic kit part for the cannon a few days ago! Does anyone happen to have a replacement cannon...just the 1/4" part that protrudes from the gun barrel? If not, I guess I could try creating my own out of a brass rod and drilling some holes in it. Thanks! -

Hi, Does anyone happen to have a spare tail rotor (with all four blades intact) from a 1/48 SH-2F Seasprite kit, either from the Matchbox or Revell kits? I'm working on a Matchbox kit I ordered from Ebay, and the tail rotor is missing one blade, and a second blade was broken from the rotor assembly. I could try scratchbuilding some blades, but it will just look weird. Just curious, thanks! -Jason

Hi all, I just bought a nice 1/72 Fujimi SH-3H kit on E-bay, but the decals look terrible....lots of yellowing and they're peeling away from the backing paper. I did a quick Google search to see if anyone made aftermarket decals for this scale in a U.S. Navy scheme, but all I could find was the Superscale #72-390 set. I can't find it for sale anywhere...may just have to keep checking on E-bay. Anyone else out there make SH-3 1/72 U.S. Navy decals? thanks!

Hi all, One of the biggest dilemnas I've had when installing exterior photoetch parts is when to attach them during the painting process. Which option is best from your experience? 1. Attach them before painting the exterior. This way, they glue directly to the plastic. But there's a big risk of them being damaged or lost during painting and decaling. And they could come off if I have to mask over them. 2. Attach them after the model has been painted -- I would think this is the more obvious choice. But what about glueing them?...they won't attach as well over a paint job. Plus I'd have to

I'm getting a ridiculously late start to the group build, but I'm confident I'll have it done in time! I'm starting on a 1/72 Jayhawk that consists of the Hasegawa SH-60B base model, Fireball Modelworks HH-60J conversion set and decals, and Eduard SH-60B photoetch set. I just finished the Revell 1/144 767-300 with KLM livery. I'll have pics up in a few days. Now I'm starting an Airfix 1/144 DC-10-30 with Liveries Unlimited FedEx decals....next in the queue is the Airfix 747-100 with Cathay Pacific 'Spirit of Hong Kong' livery.
