Finally available for preorder: CD48186 - F-105B/D Thunderchief
-
It's been a crazy hectic month - I still need to finalize the A-10 instructions but expect to make the links live later next week; and start shipping by Oct 1 or so.
-
Now that the Roden KC-135R is released, it is time to reprint this best-selling sheet. CD144001 will be available once again in the November/December timeframe.
-
Sorry, the CT ANG sheet was intended to be a limited release and does not have the wing walkways.
-
Yes, it’s a great excuse to finish the 1/48 scale RF-8 project at the same time and release the artwork on both scales. Stay tuned, I will do these.

i had almost forgotten the “group of Asian gentlemen measuring an airplane” trope - thanks for bringing the memories of the heated discussions in late 90s - early naughts Hyperscale and ARC! My favorite was the Vigilante that was rumored to be coming every year, but never came(*). There was also the persistent rumor of an Accurate Miniatures F-100, which was going to be the Hun to end all Huns. We are still waiting for that one. (*j Until Trumpeter made it, and nobody even cared for the kit after a couple of years. I even vaguely remember Darren Roberts getting tired of the wait

Thoughts?? Anyone applying the decals yet? Sales have been great, but I got very limited feedback.
-
I agree this is a great idea - a new 1/72 sheet is long overdue and I will need a new 1/48 one in a few months as well. I will put these subjects in the research agenda.

The September releases are: CD48186 - 1/48 USAF F-105B/D Thunderchief CD48198 - 1/48 A-10 "The Early Years" CD72144 - 1/72 USAF F-105B/D Thunderchief CD72146 - 1/72 C-130H "Black Lightning"

Still working on the instructions for these and the A-10 sheet : with too many options and a lot of non-standard early schemes for the A-10, I was not able to finish these on time for an August release. On the other hand, I need to keep the cash flow coming, hence the F-16D and AH-64 releases this month. I will have to release the F-105 and early A-10 sheets in the next batch.

Available for preordering now: CD32026 - 1/35 US Army AH-64D/E Apache

No, sorry - I have an equal number of the two sheets and will offer them as a single set.
-
It's a bit early to say, but I really enjoyed the limited time I spent in this year's Nats and will try to attend future events to the extent possible.
-
Obviously - I am working on the profiles and I will post them later in the week as we get closer to shipping the decals.
-
While most of the AH-64D options from the 1/48 sheet are there, the -E options are mostly all new. The 1/48 sheet came out at a time when the E model was in use in very few units with simple markings. Over the last few years, unit markings started to appear and these are on the decal sheet.

It was great to get to meet many of you in person and shake hands today. So many familiar names on the name tags - I think I might have shipped decals to at least 25% of everyone around the aircraft tables. There were quite a few excellent models built with Caracal decals on the contest tables: Corey's Fury, Craig's brilliant YF-15A, an excellent Streak Eagle, a couple superb A-4 Skyhawks, at least one T-38, JB-47, C-133, C-141, and more. I wish I could have attended it earlier but I literally landed in the US merely a day ago. It looked like it was a great Nats and I wish everyon

What is the USAF using for eletronic warfare?
KursadA replied to Geoff M's topic in General Discussion
Probably the Angry Kitten pod on MQ-9 and a bunch of other platforms, too. -
Alas, my permission from SWMBO ran out some time ago. I am working on a negotiation strategy.
-
Yes! I spoke to Gabe and actually waited next to your model hoping to meet you until a few mins ago.

I am headed to the IPMS Nats now. I plan to hang our near Dave's (Flying Lathernecks Decals) table and also attend some seminars. If anyone is planning a get-together, please post here so we can stop by.
