  1. Thanks to both of you - that's helpful. Let's see how I am doing with the PE parts and the nozzles...
  2. Hi, I have here Hasegawa's 1/48 F-22 under construction and wish to install Aires' Exhaust nozzles. According to the vague Aires instructions it's simple to glue them in. But they won't fit as shown - at least not without cutting off the little 'walls' at the end of the upper and lower fuselage halves inside the engine openings. Has this to be done (Aires says nothing about it) or am I missing something here? I would appreciate anyone's experience with this resin set and method of installing it. TIA Ingo
  3. I do not wish to highjack this thread - but is there anything wrong with Superbug/Buffmaster? I have an eye on the announced B-52D Bomb and wheel bays.... TIA ingo
  4. Thanks to everybody again - @Mig23: That was the site I's talking about!! Great!
  5. PJ comes close but is not quite what I had in mind. If I could only find this thread here... Thanks to all of you anyway. Ingo
  6. Hi, are there any 1/72 vehicles (preferably from the 50's and 60's) used for example by the USAF? Like pick-up trucks and the like. I think I rembember having read here somewhere about or from a company that will probably do some...but I can't find it any more... Anyone an idea or source for such vehicles? ingo ps: I already have the Hasegawa Chevy van.
  7. Great model. I like your extended phlaps and slats. The Phurball decals are phantastic, aren't they? I have '110' of VF-51 and '100' of VF-161 nearing their completion - both from that sheet. Ingo
  8. The same goes for me - received the stabilator sets today also. Nicely done stabilators and PE, good and precise instructions. Top value for the money!
  9. I am in the middle of 'decaling' two Academy F-4B's using the Furball sheet and I simply have to say they are the best decals I have worked with for quite a while. Outstanding quality in every respect. They still top the kit decals, which are by no means bad. Pure fun to do VF-51's "110" and VF-161's "100".
  10. That's the problem - on all these b&w photos there's only a 'light' area visible where the black paint is worn off/flaked off....may it be White, Alu dope or some primer.... I don't know.
  11. A good hint, I didn't know that and thought Corroguard was some kind of 'Clear coat'. Thanks.
  12. Yes, I am not intending to paint all the undersurfaces; only the areas where I want the effect.
  13. Thanks to both of you. So I'll go for natural metal beneath the Black and SAC upper camouflage.
  14. I just received the Monogram B-52D from a colleague in our modelling club (still in it's cellophane wrapping!). He was so kind to give it to me out of his immense stash for a beer in return. The last time I built this kit is about 25 or 30 years ago and now I wish to do a camouflaged BUFF - one of the rather heavily weathered aircraft from the days of Linebacker, etc.. I have here the "...in action" book and it shows some photos (b&w) with the black undersides and sides suffering from intense paint chipping. My question is: Was the black paint(and of course the rest of the camo) spray
  15. Great - count me in for a pair each! Hopefully the slotted stabs will be available soon....my F-4B is already in the painting stage and I definitely plan to use your stabilators with it. Fortunately they can easily be the very last thing to be added. Too bad the a/c intakes do not come in time for this one...I corrected the parts themselves but failed to position them a little more forward. I might change that though...later.
