  1. Resurrecting this old thread: I ordered pilots from this guy February 27. He took my money and never sent me the goods. I've attempted to contact him multiple times. It's been 230 days. No contact, no refund, no pilots. Does anyone know this guy? Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? At this point, it's just $55.00 pissed to the wind, but I figured I'd try one more time since winter is coming and that means lots of time to model. Thanks.
  2. A ridiculous amount of time. And no response to communication at all. None. It's horrible business practice.
  3. So what is the deal with Greg at Modern Hobbies? I placed my order with him on February 27 and my card was charged for $55.00. I"ve sent a few emails now. No package, no response to emails. Anyone know this guy?
  4. I ordered several from modern hobby a couple days ago. Can't wait to get them.
  5. Good point. Don't know why I never thought about ebay.
  6. Wow, outstanding! Thanks so much! That's exactly what I was looking for. Cheers.
  7. Don't know if this is the right place to post... sorry if it's not... i'm looking for modern 1:72 scale pilots but am having a hard time finding any. PJ Productions has some - not super pleased with them and I can't find someone in the states that carries them. Figured I'd ask here. Anyone know where to look? Many thanks.
  8. As above... been looking, can't find 'em... anybody know of any out there?
  9. Thanks for that link. I own a small farm with no one around for quite a ways, so neighbors aren't an issue. The wife and kids are fine as well as long as I'm in the garage, lol. Since it's just 20 smackers, I think i'll give it a shot and see what comes of it.
  10. Thanks for the replies guys... just to continue this... I do already have a compressor, but I'm afraid it might not be good enough. Let's see what you all think... maybe it will work w/ some mods... It's a Craftsman Industrial, small pancake style (I think that's what it's called), 1.5 hp, 4 gal tank, 120 psi, delivers 4.7 scfm @ 40 psi, 3.3 scfm @ 90 psi. The dealio is it does not have a moisture trap and the little dial that tells you how much air is there is small gauge that isn't precisely graduated under 20. I'm wondering, is it difficult to add a moisture trap and is it difficult to
  11. I lived around these birds at BNA for 12 years... good to see them again! Nice pics!
  12. Yet another Testor's B-2... The only and only kit I ever threw away mid-build. I greatly overestimated my skills on that one!
  13. Ah... light bulbs are coming on... I'm looking at a gravity fed, double action brush. Paints will be acrylics and enamels, thinned as usual, most of the stuff i've been building is 1/72 jets, so some small detail is needed, but some broad use too.
  14. Hi all: Sorry for this question if it's been covered previously... I tried searching w/o success... I've not ever modelled with an airbrush/compressor before and I'm shopping around for an economical combination that will be successful for me. One question that has come up is the PSI range. What is the ideal range for spraying models? 10-25? Lower, higher? Thanks. md
  15. Well, if it's still going strong after all that time and didn't wad up after only a few months of use, more power to you. My own experience hasn't been so good with "no name" items so I'm justifiably leary. Sometimes you DO get what you pay for, but if this particular item is worthy, i just might give it a go. Thanks for the feedback.
  16. Hi All: I asked this question in another thread, but perhaps instead of hijacking someone else's thread perhaps I should start a new thread... Saw this over on that crazy place and wondered if these were just too good to be true. Anyone know? My link Thanks, as always, for your help. Michael
  17. Looking at this link you provided to this quiet compressor... do you have any idea who manufactures it or the airbrushes that are pictured? That's an awfully low price for all of that stuff... I'm in the market for a new airbrush and compressor and that's pretty tempting, but I sure don't want a bunch of crap, and to be honest that's what it sort of looks like...
  18. Cool! Thanks, Gregg! I'll give it a shot!
  19. Hi Folks: Been years and years since I posted here. Trying to find a 1:72 Hasegawa F/A-18F Super Bug canopy. I wadded mine up, wrote the company requesting a replacement (a couple of times!) and haven't heard anything. Any suggestions on getting a replacement? I'd hate to buy a whole kit just to get another canopy, and the thing is, I actually did a pretty good job on the darn thing! I'd like to finish it off! Thanks in advance. Michael
  20. Box is open but all sprues still in plastic. Decals still in plastic. Instruction book still crisp. Nothing on the kit has been started. All new, all perfect. I'll never have the time to start this beast. $40, you pay shipping. Edited to add the following... this is not on Ebay. I take Paypal or check if you want to go that route. Me and the model are located in central Illinois.
  21. Outstanding shots! I love seeing assembly line photos. I fly out of STL all the time and all I get to see are the assembled superhornets (and F-15Ks, etc), in painted and unpainted form. Seeing the inside during assembly is fantastic! Thanks for posting those!!
