Just a little easier than the Boomerang and nice as well. Patrick

Not the easiest kit to do but so far you've built her well. Patrick

Another NMF aircraft here and the level is high. Patrick

This natural metal Corsair is really fantastic. You mastered the challenge. I think one day I will build the same aircraft. Thank you for sharing her. Patrick

Hi This is a very interesting subject and working on plenty of the same aircraft is a good way to decrease the stash. Patrick

I haven't tried so far but the option could be aluminium and an orange varnish over. Patrick

1/72 Special Hobby Vickers Vildebeest Mk IV
VG 33 replied to VG 33's topic in Australia and New Zealand Wings
Well, that's enough for today. The fuselage is closed and I've just inserted the lower wing to see the shape. You can look at the gap between the wing trailing edge and the fuselage which I know is normal. The wires running through holes in the fuselage are for the rigging as I make it like the real aircraft that is to say by tightening the wires between the wings or the fuselage and the wing. The wire is 0,08mm and the holes are 0,3mm. To be continued... Patrick -

Hi Alan Suddenly, this link is becoming highly valuable because now I understand that the trailing edge of the lower wing is not connected to the fuselage. Before that I was looking my kit and scratching my head. Thank you. Patrick -

1/72 Special Hobby Vickers Vildebeest Mk IV
VG 33 replied to VG 33's topic in Australia and New Zealand Wings
Hello I have progressed a little and painted inside. As I told above the metal parts were aluminium doped but the backside of the fabric is something red. For this I used a mix between Humbrol 70 and matt white (2 for 1) and later I drybrushed the panels with white. The harness is in leather. In the end a dark wash highlighted everything. Thank you the subjects are interesting but as I am lazy enough I will stay with the pieces in the box. Patrick -
1/72 Special Hobby Vickers Vildebeest Mk IV
VG 33 replied to VG 33's topic in Australia and New Zealand Wings
Hello I have started my Vildebeest. First I have equipped the cockpit with what is offered in the box. A few metal etched pieces and resin parts. As far as I know the cockpit will be aluminium and not green like it is indicated in the instruction sheet. The inner face of the fabric could be in the strange light pink comming from the first coat of paint outside, on this point I am really not sure. Any idea over there? To be continued... Patrick -
I have some pages in "wings of fame" 03 but no scanner to copy anything for you at the moment. Patrick

From the pictures let me try an educated guess with FS 35237 / 34092. Patrick

Very good news !!!

I am looking forward to getting some 1/72 decals as well. In this guise they are looking like the Czech Mi-24V as I built some years ago. Patrick
-
I've got them. Do you still need these plans? Patrick

In my country house I have the instruction sheet of the 1/72 Execuform kit but you have to wait for some weeks before I go there. So maybe someone else. Patrick

Fantastic kit and the burnt zone around the exhaust is convincing. Patrick

Hello I am starting one of the Vildebeest aircraft series from MPM Production as the Mk IV is possible in RNZAF guise. This one is NZ123 (ex-RAF K6414) of No 7 Squadron in 1942-1943 protecting the northern approaches. First the box art, this the Special Hobby 72243 kit and the scheme with so nice colours To be continued... Patrick

Hi, she could be the last to enter the extended period ! So she is a 1/72 Airfix De Havilland Vampire T Mk. 11 from No.2 Squadron Rhodesian Air Force in 1968. Decals came from Xtracolor X72-174 sheet and paints are Gunze. Patrick
