  1. You want some criticism....here's some criticism for ya'.....it looks too damn good! Now take that! :jaw-dropping: Superior workmanship there Jorge. Pete Brown
  2. But of course! I heard the guy who did the original artwork is quite talented!
  3. A few of you may have seen my 1/35 UH-60A MEDEVAC that I finished last year. (It actually won a 1st Place at an IPMS show/contest..Woo-Who!) http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=228847&st=0&p=2182985&hl=medevac&fromsearch=1entry2182985 I kind of like the look of military MEDEVAC helicopters. So, I haven't had a lot of time to hobbytize lately, but I have been working on this project here and there. The kit is the Academy 1/48 UH-60A with the assistance of (Floyd) Werner's Wings 1/48 MEDEVAC Interior and UH-60 Blackhawk Decal Sets. I haven't been t
  4. WOW...I didn't know bringing up this question would be so controversial! All very interesting though! I am learning a whole lot here! They'll be very impressed with my "amassed knowledge" the next time I do work at the base! (ha-ha) Pete
  5. Sounds good to me! Thanks Spongebob! Jennings, only you could come up with an answer like that! :)
  6. I was working in Klamath Falls (Oregon) today. Several OANG F-15's were flying around, about 10 or so. When they circling around, doing their individual approaches to land, I could here a (best I can describe) loud chirping sound, like a bird chirping. It came from each jet as he made the turn to the approach. They were probably at 300-400 feet above me. (I was on top of a Big 5 Sporting Goods building) Does anyone know what that sound would be? Thanks, Pete Brown

  8. This is an ever so slightly modified 1/35 kit from Warriors I did several years ago. A couple of these were made for some specific people, and a few others for some fire stations, which they display in their lobbies. I do not consider myself to be a figure painter by any stretch of the imagination. But this is where I thought I would post my small tribute of remembrance. Pete
  9. It's looking real sharp there Phil!
  10. E-mail sent Thank you Sir! If anyone else has some more, I will relieve you of them. Pete
  11. I definitely agree that the Cobra Company detail set is a must to make a really nice Jayhawk. The Skunkmodels Jayhawk kit is essentially the same as the Italeri HH-60H Rescuehawk, but it does have (some) very useful "J" items included. Skunkmodels has a nice PE rescue basket, and some clear styrene pilot doors (if you want the doors closed...if you want them open use the Cobra Company doors) How much detail do you want and how much $ do you want to spend? If you really want to trick it out: This what I used on mine. - Italeri HH-60H Rescue Hawk (but you'll need and an SH-60 engine cover
  12. Yep, I think those are the same ones in the Huey kit. Can you email me, and discuss the details? petebrown@clearwire.net Thanks, Pete
  13. Do you guys know if anyone makes 1/48 engine intake particulate filters like the ones on this MH-60S? I know CC has 1/35. Thanks, Pete
  14. I don't have any of those pilots, but I do have the pilots from Monogram's AH-64A that you're more than welcome to. I don't remember, do they have the Apache type helmets or "regular" type?
  15. Greetings one and all, Does anybody out there have any pilot figures from these kits that they are not going to use? I have a project planned where I can put them to good use if you don't need them. I am in Oregon, USA. 18. I always thought LAPD Swat had dark blue/black vehicles. Course if you have photos or this is a what if then ignore what I wrote. Hey Tank, Heck, I don't know if LAPD even have or had HUMVEES? I just thought it would be a nice vehicle to make! I actually got the Idea from a dio I saw a long time ago on Hyperscale by Jimmy Cancino. I thought it was pretty cool, and wanted to do something similar. http://www.hyperscale.com/galleries/2002/swatjc_1.htm
  19. Here's some updated pics of my 1/35 LAPD SWAT raid. I have posted this here before, but I felt it was never really completed. Over the last couple of years, I have glanced at it once in a while and thought that it needed something else. So I added a few things. To add a splash of color to the drab blue and grey, I parked a red pickup in the gravel on the side of the house. The lawn and shrubs were repainted. A bicycle, fire hydrant, palm tree, rain gutters, fence, along with a CHP Mustang were placed in the scene. I still have to set the base of the palm tree a little deeper into
