  1. From Squadron 1/48 Special Hobbies Heinkel 178 V2, a slightly obscure plane model. I was in the mood for something out of the mainstream, plus I need practice with bare medal.
  2. Incredible. Looks like a museum walk-around.
  3. Anybody have a trashed Avia S-199 with an intact prop and spinner? Or an extra in your spares box? I'll get you postage and handling and a fee for your part. I have a resin Messerschmitt ME-209 MPM/HML Messerschmitt Me 209 A2/V6 and they provided a Bf 109 prop and spinner which will not work with the 209. (The new kit is missing a few parts and provides others that are inaccurate. However, except for the spinner I can scratch build, repair or replace out of spares box.) Since the engine is a Junkers Jumo 213E I'm assuming the S-199 spinner will work. I think the Focke Wulf 190 mig
  4. The only thing I can add is that I suggest you get some acryllic paint retardant. It will keep the paint more fluid as it moves through and out your air brush. Quick drying acrylic causes no end of problems.
  5. Excellent work. What was your panel line techniqe? I have this plane in the someday pile, and I am a little intimidated about the many many panel lines. I hope to make them look like yours but I am not quit sure how. Thanks!
  6. I think I will join you in getting this, when it gets into a US distributor's network. I understand ordering from Eduard in CZ has large shipping costs, although I have not checked recently. I would very much want to build the Blue '8', 'Erika' from JG 5.
  7. Excellent build. What brand of paint? Toned down? Also, I'm wondering about "new tool." New as in 2008? Again, great job. I mostly build Bf 109's and always enjoy tips so I can get better.
  8. This is a tremendous build, worthy of being housed in a museum. Wish I had such scratch building skills.
  9. Excellent recovery. Looks great, especially after the meat balls and lightning.
  10. I used part of the CAM Italian and unit insignia from their Luftwaffe / Hungarian / Regia Aeronautica Bf 109s sheet and found the decals to be nicely detailed. They are nice and thin and sunk well into panel lines. I used Microset but didn't risk (or really even need) Microsol .
  11. Excellent, incredible paint work. The detailed interior is inspiring. I've kept a copy of the tips in case I ever have the bravery to try something like your plane. And all at 1/72! Eye candy!
  12. Thanks all :) I'll give it a more patient try. I think the effects are great and I appreciate your help. (By the way, beatuiful tank! Good job.)
  13. I have a question about the "Flanker is here to show you his technique for Weathering with the Tamiya Weathering Master" process. How do you seal the powder? I have used these in the past but when I seal them with flat acrylic, they dissolve and devolve into almost unseen faintness. Or worse, they run. If you don't seal them how do they stand up to time and dust? Thanks all! Michael
  14. From Dixie Art Supplies; Iwata Super Lube, EZ Air Airbrush Cleaner, 2 polished Paasch #1 needles and a Tip #1.
  15. I just recalled that Model Masters mixed up some of their later RLM greens. I don't recall the specifics. However, Olivgrün is RLM 80 in their line and that might actually be the appropriate RLM equivelant. A guess more research is necessary on that issue.
