Ok, sorry. I have always used gunmetal for that color

Another person mentioned to me for AGM65 thermal imaging maverick missile that clear orange and clear blue mixed 50/50 works pretty good. Looked good on a test piece I did. Pretty much the same material for the seeker head on both missiles

1/35 scale OH-58D "Black Death" from MRC
Raptor.777 replied to Raptor.777's topic in Helicopter Modeling
That would be awesome Thanks Jeff -
Want to finish this model, but years ago, I lost the 50 cal ammo chute for it. It was made out of rubber. I have some photoetched 1/48 scasle 20mm cannon shells which look pretty close to 1/35 scale 50 cal ammo. How would one make a ammo chute for them? Ammo chute meaning the flexible metal housing the ammo rides in before entering machine gun Thanks for any info Jeff

Thermal imaging AGM 65 Maverick missiles seeker head color
Raptor.777 replied to Raptor.777's topic in Jet Modeling
Do you know why they are painted different colors like half OD green and other half grey then one all grey? Looks like middle one is either a optically guided or laser guided maverick but not sure. Thank you for the pics -

Has any one come up with a good color combo for the thermal imaging seeker head on a AGM65 Maverick. Seen lots of pics and videos but can't seem to come up with a good solution Thanks Jeff -
I think the pylons are set at a angle

That looks really nice. What kind of weapons came with the kit? Did it also come with a pilot figure? Jeff

Thank you for the pics. I did not know about the orange wiring deal. Interesting. Looks like a lot of scratch building to make it look real. I guess I am not that ambitious though. Just needed some good reference photos. Thanks again Jeff

Thank you. Just trying to see what all the cable colors and dust colors are Jeff

I am building the 1/32 scale Italeria F-35A. Does anyone know where I can find some quality images of the weapons bay and wheel bays? Want to get this somewhat correct and not just blackwash everything Thanks Jeff

External differences between A-4E,F and M Skyhawks
Raptor.777 replied to Raptor.777's topic in Jet Modeling
Thanks. I thought the M model had a different canopy. Thanks Jeff -
Is there a good link to show all the external differences between said models? I have a Monogram Pro Modeler in A-4F. Looks like it has all the pieces to turn it into an E or M models and even an Isreali version I think. Has chaff and flare dispenseras, radar warning recievers and a whole lot of other parts. Would like to turn it into an A-$M from the Marine Corp. Just need some reference material Thanks Jeff

Damn. Super detailed -
Pretty sure they were dull grey like fuselage

Was curious if the USAF has done a F-35A in a solid color with out all the highlighted lighter shade of grey details. Is there a mask kit for the Italeria F-35A kit in 1/32 scale. Was thinking about doing mine in a solid color but not sure if it would be realistic, but then again, modelers prerogative. Was thinking about maybe Tamiya's spray in gunship grey Jeff
