  1. Decant. Tried it straight from the can at first and realized pretty quick there was no way to get an even coat. My ventilation is not so good, so the vapor gets pretty stout. That's why I'm going to try Vallejo's clear finishes. I knew Tamiya had clear base in bottles, but didn't know they also had finishes.
  2. Oops, I thought you meant the spray. I’ve been using Tamiya’s gloss and flat spray, which I guess is a lacquer.
  3. I noticed the same thing when I started using Tamiya clear. I like it better than Future, except I have to remember that it’s not acrylic. I bought some Vallejo acrylic spray in gloss, semi-gloss and flat that I’m going to try next. Outstanding work, as usual Isaac. I save your WIP threads and add them to my reference library. -dave
  4. PM sent concerning both Tamiya P-47's and A6M5. -dave
  5. Looking for the kit, but I could use a more readily available P-40E kit if I was able to find the decals.
  6. Looking to buy a Hasegawa P-40E 'South Pacific Aces' kit #09702 if the price is right. Let me know if you have one you may be interested in parting with. Open box is ok, but prefer all bags sealed. -dave
  7. Pm sent on the Hobbycraft 1/48 Hawker Sea Fury -dave
  8. Thanks! In my defence the work are is a freash setup + I spiffed it up special for the photo shoot :P
  9. Finished my Tamiya 1:48 Brewster Buffalo...almost. Still have a few bits here and there to tack on. This is the first kit I've completed in over 3 years and only the fourth or so in 15 years, so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect...and I wasn't disappointed . More mistakes than you can shake a stick at, but even so it feels good to be getting back into the game. Yep, I know the telescopic site is missing. Thought I could install it last, after final paint, but that's what I get for doing my own thinking . I'll get it on there though. Glad to get my feet wet again, but still have a long
