  1. Thanks Anthony....I have his site bookmarked....it comes in really handy. The guy does some amazing work.I really like his F-14 launch diorama.Good stuff there. Thanks JCFay...I appreciate your comments... The rings are really a freakin' nightmare.I was eating aspirin like Skittles.I wish there was another way.Let me know when you find it! On to the next hurdle/headache: Cutting Edge seamless intakes: Till next time...let me know what you think! :D
  2. Well after some careful thought,I decided to tackel the exaust cans.I base coated them with Gunze Mr. Base white.I then masked off sections of the can and sprayed those Model Master Dark Anodonic Grey according to my references in the Lock-On book by Verlinden. After everything was dry I glued the halves together as carefully as possible, to try to eliminate the horrendous seam that runs the full length of the cans. After drying I then went back with Gunze Mr.Surfacer 1000 applied with a toothpick along the seams with the exception of the grey bands of Anodonic Grey.I had to do this a few times
  3. Hey Luca, thanks for the reply! The RBF flags are from Tamiya.I could be wrong but I think they come in every modern 1/32 A/C kit from them. After I cut them from the sheet, I ran a red Sharpie marker down the edges to eliminate the white paper edge.I poked the holes in each end then dabbed a little silver in each hole for the eyelet.I then glued both 'safing pins' into their respective places and after that I dampened the flag with regulaer tap water and a wide brush. After the flag softened up, I the began folding it and working with it till I got it to look how I wanted.I have to be honest wit
  4. Thanks Jerry for the kind words.Your 1/48 Beagle is outstanding!! I'm still plugging away on mine.I have some more up to date progress shots at the 'other' forum,in case you havn't checked it out lately. I got the WSO's office done.... I think it turned out better than the pilots office.I can't tell you what I did different though. Methods of painting were the same on both. The only difference is that in the WSO's office there is an ejection sequence selector on the far right panel. This was scratchbuilt from strip and sheet plastic. Comments as always, are welcome.....
  5. Well... sweet JDAM!! <--- Scrambling to update Christmas list to include 1/32 F-5! OHH wow!!! Just think of it..... a 'then and now' F-14A and F-5 diorama..... I can't stop grinning!!! :D :D
  6. Here are some shots of the completed front cockpit. I might go back and add some 'wear' to the area immedietly in front of the rudder pedals....other than that it's a done deal till I glue it in the fuselage. After several attempts,I got it to where I think it lookes 'OK'. I've seen better. I think I need to invest in finer paint brushes. Either that or start taking pics of my work and critiquing myself from the pics..Comments are welcome....
  7. I hear ya! It's sad really.... I never dreamed I would see the days when the F-14 and F-15 were talked about in the PAST TENSE....
  8. I have to echo Phantoms statement, and say that....you my friend...are a brave, brave man indeed Heater! WOW! Doesn't BEGIN to describe it. I can't wait to see it finished.
  9. Edited to delete a political statement......that in hindsight was probably NOT appropriate....not to mention the spelling of the persons name....
  10. Hey Ion....just thought I'd let you know that I think the A-10 is spectacular. It would no doubt be the centerpiece of my collection....
  11. Well.... JDAM! Too soon for me....gotta get the Beagle out of the way first. Thanks for the response!
  12. Guy....do you mind if I P.M. you? I have several questions about the techniques you used on the nose gear in particular. Thanks!
  13. Maybe I missed it,but when is the actual starting date? I'm thinking about joining....thanks in advance!
