I think that would be a much better effort and probably easier on your sanity :) I also had that Fujimi kit when it first came out but quickly got rid of it when Revell issued their Intruder kits. Yes they were not 'A' models but I figured I could do better at converting the Revell kit than try to build the Fujimi. I made a list of changes I would like to do on the Fujimi kit and I ran out of paper. I jest of course but the list was LONG.

Hey Kursad Are you adverse to putting on a "what-may-be" on the sheet? The reason I ask is that Bell is proposing to the Canadian Government the V-22 for the Search and Rescue roll. They have painted up one in the yellow scheme with lots of red panels. The go fast stripe is also there. Looks great. I can get you a couple of pics as well as a drawing if that would help you visualize it.

Crap you snooze you looze :( I see that SB has stock so I will get it there. Darn it I keep saying that life/work is getting in the way of my hobby :)

Ok that tlooks great as per usual. Hey I seem to recall those full colour Oregon markings on a F-101 Voodoo. There's another subject for you Kursad :)

What do you want for the next decal release
skyhawk174 replied to RiderFan's topic in General Discussion
Hi David Joe at Flightdecs has already done the CP-140 in 1/72 in the grey scheme. But as you know it has not been released as of yet. The sheet also includes a couple of special markings. I know for a fact that the sheets are printed but he has been having no end of trouble with the instructions. I think finally he is going to release them with some help from someone to finish off the instruction sheet. The reason I know all of this is that I speak to Joe plus I helped him with the sheet. He also sent me a sample when it was back from the printers. As for suggestions, I know it is a small s -
Hi Kursad Thanks for the reply. I could go preorder the T-45 and if you don't mind holding it until more of your sheets come out that would be great. It would probably make it a bit easier for you shipping wise so you are only doing one package for me instead of several.
-
Hi Kursad Is the T-45 the only sheet I can preorder? I would like to order some of your stuff but no linky. I found the T-45 Part 3 from one of your other posts but how about the F-15? Thanks
-
Great news Kursad and lots of stuff there that interests me. I better go get your October releases before they are all gone. Darn it why is it I can buy decals faster than I can build. I have tons (maybe literally) of decals and no sign of making a dent in my stash with building the kit. However having said that I have many sheets that are now LONG LONG out of production so I am happy about that. Hope they are still good when I go to use them.

Hey Kursad, you are so mean. I was all set to pick up Part 2 and now you release Part 3. Son of a gun, a shark mouth on a T-45!!!! Wow, now that is cool. I think this is the sheet I will get. Of course I could get 2 and 3 but I don't think I have the will to build more than one but who knows :)

I knew I had seen the markings on decals before. It seems that Aztec Decals produced a sheet in 1/48 and 1/72nd. Lucky for me I never got it :) Now that Kursad is making an even better sheet I know which one to buy now.
-
Ok why do these markings look familiar? I think another decal company may have issued these markings? Not that it matters to me as I would buy Kursad's version anyway since I don't have it. I think the other sheet may not have had the art on the tails. Also, with the new MiG 29 kit coming from Great Wall Hobby I think these markings would be outstanding. Oh well got to work some more overtime to buy more Caracal decals
-
Hey Kursad Great news there. Nice to see some operational schemes. Love all of that bright red on the white. Looking forward to your release.
-
Yet another nice sheet Kursad. Great stuff. So tell me when do you sleep? :) Seems to me you are producing sheets fast and furious. Not that I am complaining since you sure pick some nice subjects. Maybe I missed it, but is that sheet for the Hasegawa kit? I have the Tamiya kit as well as the Monogram kit but I think I would like to do the Tamiya kit.
-
Kursad This is a great announcement. I have several Monogram kits in my stash so having an option for new markings is more than welcome. Personally I think the Monogram kit is better than the Tamiya kit but that is just my opinion. I have both so it really does not matter. I have some Spanish markings for the Spanish naval aircraft but the sheet is a rare one. Just happy you are doing markings at all.

Hi Kursad This is great news. I am happy that you are going in this direction. Also, about Caracal Models releasing USAF schemes may I suggest that you hold off on that. From what I have seen, there are many sheets already on the market and I don't want you to lose sales because people already have markings by someone else. That is why, your Singapore sheet I think will do well since nothing else exist, YET. Anyway, just my opinion. That plus I already have several USAF F-15E sheets :)
-
Hi Kursad Well it looks like I will be buying yet another sheet from you. Is there any way to reserve a copy? Maybe pre-order? I have a few of your other sheets to pick up too.
-
In Canada I buy my FCM sheets from Flightdecs www.flightdecs.ca Joe deals with FCM directly I believe. I am speaking with him tonight so I will ask him about these new sheets.
-
Sound business practice :) That is why I will continue to buy your stuff. Well as long as my Minster of Finance says so or until she finds out :)
-
Hi Kursad Wow, I was just speaking with someone about this. I like option 2 since as you say, stencils available. The only difference would be the type of stencil variations between yours and the kits. Even though I don't build 1/72nd or 1/32nd I am sure I can give the 72nd ones to my friend. Would this mean you would have a smaller print run since guys may be splitting the sheets between themselves?
-
Wow ken, amazing job. Been following your builds for quite some time and always amazed how you turn those kits into masterpieces. I had seen a review of that A Model kit somewhere and was not very impressed but after seeing yours I may have to reconsider even though I don't build 1/72nd. Yeah chances of a 1/48th model are less than slim :) Like the load too as it shows the sheer size of the helicopter. Anyway, thanks for sharing your beautiful model.
-
Well that is great and bad news. Great in a sense that your decision to produce was a good one. Bad in that people can't buy it until the reprint. I am sure it is satisfying to you when a sheet does well. Gives you more drive to produce something else I hope.
-
Well I missed this the first time around so I will have to get it now. Thanks for the reprint Kursad. I wonder if I can wait to order this and the PAF sheet coming in soon?
-
Well what the heck is up with this? Every time I go to your section Kursad, there is more new stuff to buy. It looks like pretty soon I will not be able to visit your section of ARC since it costs me money every time I do. Hmm, I wonder if the Bank of Wife is offering any loans for modelling supplies. I will have to go find out :) All kidding aside, thanks for releasing this sheet. I have the Sword kit and was looking for some nice markings for it. There was an old TB sheet also I believe but probably not available anymore.
-
You are so right Jennings, a MiG 25 over a 31 is much more desirable I think. My all time favourite scheme is the MiG 25s flown by Algeria. Yeah I know they are grey but those national markings sure are cool looking.
-
Saw that on Cybermodeler and thought I was seeing things. It is really great news. I have the ESCI kits, both the 23 and 27, and I have been looking at them over the years with the hope that someday some company will issue new versions. Well, I guess prayers do work :)
