Heard from Jen. She's planning to do new sets of the C-130J nacelles ASAP. She just had a baby. Thought I'd inform. Whoo hoo! Paul

AWESOME topic! Thanks guys...

Guys, I'm looking for some accurate C-130J nacelles. I know "Jen" used to produce an aftermarket set but I cannot find out how to contact her. Or...anyone else that may do a set. Can anybody help? Thanks, Paul
-
Yes! That's the one! Anybody out there know who did it? Thanks, Paul

Guys, I saw an EP-3E at the Nationals in Orlando this month. Awesome, well done model!! I couldn't see who did it though and/or how to contact them. Anybody out there know who may have done this one? I'm doing an EP-3E and need some advice. Thanks ahead of time. Paul

Guys....check out and "Like" Savannah's Combat Readiness Training Center on Facebook. TONS of pics of operational birds. The First Fighter wing is training there until August 24. Langley's runway is being reconditioned. The F-22's are at Savannah CRTC until repairs are complete.

Completely AWESOME! Can you share how you did the paint...? It's flawless! Paul

There ya go!! Conclusion? Who cares about the Otaki molds? Revell, Kinetic or whoever can make new molds for crying out loud! With the Engineering software we have today and the computing power, it's FAR easier and less expensive than ever before. And...it will be better than the original molds. Although..I must say the Otaki offering is incredible..except for the engines. I mean come on Model Makers! You're probably looking at some serious profit with a new C-5. Or...at the very least, the Otaki original re-issue. I ain't really getting their business logic in all this. Any ideas? Paul

Anybody have an A400M for sale. Cheap. (I'm between jobs) Gotta have one and I can't find it anywhere around here. (Atlanta) Thanks Paul

Very nice! Wow... 2 questions: How did you do the antenna wires from the tail to fuselage? How'd you do the static discharge wires on the tail and ailerons? Thanks, Paul
-
Wow....very cool! Whatta they doing way out there?

LOL...A little detective work. That's pretty cool. You a pilot or crew?

LOL...it was about 7:00pm to about 7:45pm give or take a few minutes. I think the E-2C is gone now. It was part of NAS Atlanta. Although...I have seen some Hornets buzzing around here lately. Not sure what they're doing here. Yeah...at Dobbins it's either feast or famine. Sometimes it's non-stop action. Other times....dead. Ahhh...the good ole days. But then...the Air Force Reserve side is supposed to be getting 10 C-130J's by 2014. 12 total by 2017. Yipee!

No pics...sorry. Jennings...it had TF-33's on it. Nothing like em. High pitched screeching sound. Beautiful. Reminds me of Cold War days. Paul

I got really lucky tonight to see an E-8A Joint Stars doing touch & go's at Dobbins ARB Marietta, GA. Not sure what he was doing here...but did touch and go's for at least 45 minutes. Magnificent bird. I gotta build one now. Paul

I've wanted this kit ever since it was released. It's an awesome A/C. Pretty good model too. I'm tinkering with the idea of a "what if" version for the USAF. Charleston. Only thing I don't like about the kit is the decals. And I don't like the current prototype markings either. Soooo...Charleston. (possibly) whoo-hoo.... Paul

What's the link? I'd like to look at it. Thanks!

Great looking P-3! Love that aircraft. Looking forward to some clearer closeup pics!

I see them at swap meets pretty often. Then there's eBay...and Amazon. Just sayin... Good luck!

Hmmmm...I'm not sure either. Maybe test fit both...then decide. And why would you scratch build the smaller sponsons? You can just get those from another Italeri kit. They make a CH-53E you know. For me....I'd definitely go for what would look the best. I mean...the meanest and the most loaded for bear. Paul

Actually I was talking about both the Fujimi kit and the recently re-released Revell kit. The Revell instructions call for the dark blue scheme. It's funny though...the Fujimi kit shows a dark blue scheme on the box art but calls for engine grey in the instructions! The dark blue scheme was definitely used but I think it was more rare than the engine grey. Either way....still looking for pics of the dark blue. And you're right. It's really hard to tell which is which in many photos.
