  1. Hi The main differences are the radome on the Mk41 and also the SH-3H has a larger horizontal stabiliser and a support for the stabiliser. There are aerial differences as well so check your references. Hope this helps Bob
  2. Greetings I sent off for a spare canopy for a chickasaw. I filled out the form on the instructions and sent it off to the address in Italy. It took a good 6-8 weeks but i did get them. The package was sent from the UK and the compliments chit was from the importer (I assume but can't remember the name although their logo is triangular of sorts). So try the importer or send off the form to Italeri. Hope this helps Cheers now Bob
  3. Greetings all In the last week or so the build has moved on quite well. She has been sprayed and demasked and is looking quite nice. The EDSG came up quite matt but I thought i would see how the cutting Edge decals would sit and they seem to sit well so I am cracking on! I went for some bright red Prop spinners, the instructions said EDSG but I know some aircraft had red ones, not sure if this particular aircraft had them but i'm applying a bit of artistic licence which i am fully entitled to right! The undercarriage painted and ready for detailing and weathering One wing detailed
  4. I've just moved house and my avenger failed to survive. I'm sure I have one somewhere in my spares box, but that is in work, so if you can wait until Monday I will have a look then. It has been painted though (white i think) so if you can live with that send me a message and i shall check it out. Cheers now Bob :)
  5. Just had a quick scan through thier stock list and i could be onto something here Thanks for the link, the only down side is their minimum order value so i'll have to do a bit of impulse buying as well :D Cheers now Bob
  6. Does any one know if i can get differently colour wire. I am after specifically yellow and black and quite a thin guage, not sure of exact guage though. I discovered a neat way of doing ejection seat handles by twisting yellow and black wire together. The snag was i painted the wire before hand then twisted it and the paint just crumbles off, so if i could start with coloured wire that would be a bonus. Is this making sense? Thanks in advance Cheers now :D
  7. Greetings all just a quick update, unfortunately work has got in my way and she hasn't progressed very much, and then came Crimbo and she was stalled even more. But progress has been made eventually. First off modifying the undercariage, turned out to be a bit of tricky but perservered until.... disaster, I droped it on the floor and took a huge step to clear out the area, but it bounced further than i thought. Despite my lightfootedness....CRUNCH! It will need some care and attention but should be recoverable.....eventually. After a bit of cleaning up the nose and other attachments
  8. I've got the CE intakes, haven't fitted them permanently yet. The surgery isnt too bad and they look quite nice and they are white so no painting!!! Wish the same could be said about the cockpit set I have......do I have to thin everything down to microns to fit!
  9. Greetings HAving now figured out how to post photo's, here is my attempt at a Mossie Conversion. Its a Tamiya kit, with an eduard zoom set (mainly for the harnesses) and a Verlinden conversion set. This has sat in my pile for the last few years and this seemed a good time to blow the dust off. Cockpit shots prior to assembly The chopping up begins, I always find it satisfying butchering a Crabfat aircraft to marinise it Nose test fit, not looking too bad More updates later
  10. Greetings folks Seems like a band wagon that needs jumping on here . I had an Airfix sea mossie conversion but that was over 50% done, but I also have a Tamiya version so it gives me an excuse to bump that one up the list. So i'll wade in with a TR33 mossie (48th). Are we allowed civvies as well? I have a FRUDU hunter (revell 72nd) pining at me as well. I've thousands of others but also a day job so I won't bury myself too deep! Cheers now Bob PS would a 1:700 seaking on the flight deck of the Blake be allowed????? ;)
  11. I'm just glad its NOT a rehashed version like their Lightning. I did have a feeling the Frog version was going to rear its ugly head again! :D
  12. Thanks for the info, looks like i'll be saving my money and blowing the dust off my old one. A missed oppertunity i wager. Cheers now Bob
  13. Hannants have had the lightning for a few days now and not a word from anyone. Is it from the Hasegawa mould or is it a brand new tooling. I would go for the former as otherwise everyone would be crowing. And is there any shots, would be nice to know as I have an old Hase version and dont really want another of the same kit. Some one out ther must have it Cheers now Bob
