nikosmeta
Hello everyone. I have started my fifth model and my first here on ARC forum. The kit is the A-10 from HB in 1/48 scale. I will also use the AIRES pit and the EDUARD PE for the external detail. The first thing I did is the cokpit from AIRES which is very beautiful.
nikosmeta
The next thing I did was the landing gear. In front the detail is ok but in the back is empty so in the pictures you can see the original look and the final after the EDUARD PE was placed. I sure would like your opinion in order to improve myself Edited November 24, 2011 by nikosmeta

nikosmeta
I found time for a little update. The seat is finished: I also made the cannon from the start using a part from the EDUARD set and I cut a needle from an injection to replicate the barrels. Thats all for now
godfrey1775
Impressive start! I will be following this closely
nikosmeta
Here is my progress so far. I closed the fuselage and I prepared the wings. I also added PE parts from eduard as you can see in the photos. I also added some structural detail to the flaps Thats all for now I hope I will have an update sooner

jmel
It's always nice to see a Hog project. Great job. I love the cockpit, but you realize it's pre-LASTE, right? Which means it's not compatible with some of the later mods to the jet that you've added such as the GPS/EGI and formation lights. Also, don't forget to add the canopy breakers to the tops of the seat. A-10s have a unique arrangement here. Jake
nikosmeta
Iam glad that you like it. I know that I have made some mistakes and that this is a pre-LASTE kit but to tell you the truth I really doing it for the experience as this is my 5th kit that I am building and I am new to modelling. So mostly I experiment. The canopy breakers have been added with an RBF tag. I wish I could find the modern hog guide. Also I love your puplications and I cannot wait to get my hands on The Modern Super Hornet Guide for my next project that will be a super bug.
joeltc
I too have attempted this kit with the Aries and Eduard bits added. Though I only got as far as completing the fuselage and was about to start the weapons and the project stalled when I decided to to start a different project. Oh well my AMS kicked back in so what can you do Anyway it looks like you making great progress and I look foreword to seeing it completed. Heck maybe this will finally give me the kick I need to finnish mine.
nikosmeta
After a lot of days I had some progress with the hog. I glued the wings, tail and the engine. Aires gives PE for the HUD so I installed it. I also masked the model and I primed the kit with Mr. Surfacer 1200. Now I am ready to check for any bad spots and correct them. After that I will do a preshade and proceed to painting.
