Filipe
Hi Guys Here´s my latest project to enter the bench, this will definitely be a very long one! "Luftwaffe Flugplatz Frankreich 1940". A Diorama of a German airfield in France 1940, featuring a bf-109 E4 from Von Werra - New Airfix tool 1/72 For now I´m still building the base and figuring out same doubts I have about the connection between all the elements. I will also include several figures from preiser, a Kubelwagen and a BMW 75R from Hasegawa. Regarding what is already done, the fence and hut/barrack was made from balsa and aluminum foil. The ground was made from several spices and powder clay, them painted. The tree was made from wires them covered with lichen and them finished with oregano. For now all the paints used were watercolors. All these elements still need some weathering but are almost done. Apart from the lichen everything was scratch build so far. The general idea for the dio is to have 2 separate regions of "action". The hut and tree providing a shade on a few relaxed personnel in RnR and a Bf-109 region with the aircraft being serviced by a couple of more figures. The aircraft will have the radio unit opened and the radio being serviced on a table or some sort of similar support. I´m still not sure all the elements to include and their final position but the general idea is set. At this stage I´m going to finished the interior of the hut with the bench, seem in the photos, and with a couple of more elements such a plans, cans, ropes, etc. Still a very long way to go, more pics soon. Hope you enjoy Feel free to coment! Best regards Filipe Edited January 11, 2014 by Filipe

Filipe
Hi Guys Thank you Polo. Here´s a small update on Von Werra machine, I´m using the Eduards Pe for the academy kit and I´ll use their masks for the Hasegawa kit aswell. The kit is the new Airfix tool of the Bf109 E4 in 1/72. I´ve chopped all movable surfaces, the kit already has separate parts the flaps and rudder, so I only needed to chop the stabs, slats and ailerons. On the stabs and ailerons I didn't cut them out, only enough to bend, moved them and glued them in place. For now I´m still going to add some detail to the cockpit, scratch build the radio unit and finally prep for paint on the interior. Hope you enjoy Feel free to comment!
