fool on the hill
Glad Press'n Seal - It's like tissue weight waxed paper/plastic with a self adhesive backing. No residue, gossamer thin, slightly milky transparent.Stretchy. At your grocery store now. Just started playing with itb but it looks like we may all have a roll of this stuff on our workbenches soon. blunce
Be careful, it leaves residue. I used it for a short bit in painting houses and also on some of our dishes, and it always leaves a residue.
fool on the hill
Thanks for the heads up. I've just started playing with the stuff, maybe an alcohol swab will take care of the residue. The only other out of the box masking stuff I've tried is teflon tape. Good for stripes and some limited uses because it must adhere to itself with static (maybe?)Fuselage bands and wing stripes are a breeze.
Doughboy
God be careful with rubbing alcohol. I just trashed they paint (acrylic) and future on my F-105G using that stuff! Frosted the finish similar to Superglue on clear or chrome.

bashace
Yes, but don't the pseudoblueberries leave stains? Nah, it aids in the wash process ;)

chukw
I use the stuff as quick masks for large areas. It does leave a "lizard-skin" pattern of waxy dots, but they can be polished off with a soft cloth. A coat of Future or flat makes 'em disappear.
