Harrier/Viper Fan
Right I have now decided on what kit I be building, and the winner is: 1/48 Hobby Boss F-14D Tomcat with Metal Pitot tube and FighterTown VF-2 Decals: This won't be a fast build and I won't be able to start till near the end of the week but keep an eye open for my posts when they start. xavi84
I say the 1/48 Tomcat. Bigger is better! Thats just my 2¢. -Xavi
dnl42
Looking forward to this. The F-14D is one of the aircraft I did some engineering work on while at Grumman. I worked with another engineer on a detailed stress analysis of a bulkhead around the wing pivot. I have the HB F-14D in my stash. I haven't yet thought about markings for it. If you find a solution to your modelling block, let me know about it too. :P Why not start with some small sub-assemblies like the gear and weapons first?
Harrier/Viper Fan
That's what I was thinking, maybe do the cockpit as I always like doing that and see where it goes from there. Thanks bud that actually helped.
Harrier/Viper Fan
I finally made a start. Been working on the 1/48 cockpit once I get my computer on I upload some pics. I decided not rush if I finish in time great if not oh well, but I will post updates as I go. I am also having second thoughts on the markings, I update when I decide on that front.
