DarkKnight
is this for real? so defense contractors with poor security let the plans out? Jolly Roger markings so cool https://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=MC-UA48001?
Quixote74
"Real" has a few layers of meaning here. I'm inferring from the 'security' comment you may not be aware of the sad history of the ill-fated "Flying Dorito" - which never made it past mock-up form before being cancelled, resulting in one of the longest legal sagas in the history of Pentagon procurement: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_A-12_Avenger_II While there was never a real airframe, the mock-up, some engineering drawings for specific components, and various detailed models and renderings have made it to the public realm, allowing for the possibility of a model of the mock-up or a "what if" based on same. In fact Collect Aire did a resin kit in 1:48 and both Anigrand and Planet offered the subject in 1:72. ModelCollect's 1:48 rendition is still poised to be the first injection-molded version in any scale, but their production schedule seems to have slowed over the past few years (doubtless due to global events) since kits like this one and a new 1:72 B-1B were announced, and for the moment they remain vaporware. Crash Test Dummy
One thing that always seemed odd to me on this plane is the lack of sawtooth edges on panels. I can understand keeping them secret on a mockup which is the source for most info, but based on every other stealth design, the absence always made this design seem less realistic. habu2
I'll just leave this here.... http://web.archive.org/web/20010302165433/http://www.habu2.net/a12/avenger2.htm some of the links have been lost over time, if this kit really materializes I'll try to recreate the pages. Cat Barf
I'm thinking that it will be a glue kit.
