BWDenver
Digging through the boxes in my basement after the move from Va, and I find the boxes of built ups! This kit was inspired by a couple of shots in Koku Fan magazine back in the late 80’s early 90’s. Might have been a Desert Strom camo pattern. It was more an exercise in painting than a “replica”, hence the factory finish. Wish I could find the original shots as they have more info. Base overall coat was tan. Numbers were markings were applied via Letraset dry transfers. Nat insignia was via decals. Remove before flight tags were added to the stores. The seat was an aftermarket. Intake cover was paper towel… The kit has been cross country tree times, and some damage was encountered, the port side pitot has gone missing… This weekend was dedicated to a few repairs. phantom
Nice scheme and build.
DET1460
Nice job. The camou reminds me of the later Air Guard greys. DET1460
Alternative 4
Nice tidy build. I found the kit a tricky build, particularly the wing join and yours looks really nice.
hemspilot
Was this a NAVY or MARINE unit? The camo is similar to that received by seeral USMC helicopters during Desert Storm in 1991.

It was a lot of fun to do, but a head scratcher for people seeing it until I put the Koku Fan shot next to it. The nose No. were dry transfers, that were peeled off after the topcoat was applied. Thank you, The kit a new release when I built it, don't remember suing too much in the way of filler. It was an eye catcher so I had to build it.\ Bryan

Every once in a while they come up with some great schemes, like the Green F-4G from Viet Nam days.
