Curt B
Hey All, I want to start off by saying that I have absolutely no affiliation with the VMS company, but I wanted to tell you all about a particular product I used. I sprayed my 1/48 A-10C model using the VMS Satin Varnish, using a Paasche Model H airbrush with 0.5 needle, and with the varnish undiluted from the bottle. The result was, frankly, better than any other satin finish that I have ever used, and I've used many, trying to find the 'holy grail' of satin finishes. I believe that I have, in fact, found the grail with this VMS product. You need to apply a completely wet coat, which may differ from other products, but once dry, the model surface, both feel and visual, is fabulous. Again, no affiliation here, but I'm absolutely sold on this product. I'm always sceptical when trying new things, but this one lived up to the hype I've read about. If you're not satisfied with your satin overcoats, try this!

Chuck1945
I discovered that too. I’m trying out a couple of other VMS products as well (flat coat and decal solutions) so shipment will be after they get a VMS resupply. I recently used Techmod decals on an Eduard Hellcat and the decals seem impervious to the softener solutions I tried so will check VMS’s offerings as well.
Peacemaker
Same experience with VMS satin. Goes on perfectly undiluted via a 0.5mm airbrush. I would like to try it diluted in a smaller airbrush though one day. Ive been using it mostly for cockpits where if it stuffs up it can be hidden.
Collin
If MLT is "Unicorn Tears"...then VMS Satin is "Fairy Gold Dust"......it's magical. Cheers Collin
