  1. Great video... If you really want to get a feel for what it was like landing on the Moon I would strongly suggest checking this out. Hand down the best recreation of the first Moon landing. Be sure to check out Armstrons heartbeat as they begin the final descent. http://www.firstmenonthemoon.com
  2. Beautiful build and fantastic pictures. You did an outstanding job on the Hornet. Since you posted in the critique forum I hope you don't mind me pointing out one issue that sticks out to me. The modex numbers on the nose are reversed. The numbers should slant to the rear and not forward. Again, very nice build.
  3. I do most all of my stuff in-flight. If your a 1/48 jet guy than I will second the HAS F-18F. A bit of a challenge, but HAS 1/48 Tomcat goes wheels up pretty well too. The AFV Club 1/8 F-5 is a realy easy gear up build as well.
  4. Ben.... You are a lifesaver. I'll drop you a pm when I get home. Thanks a bunch.
  5. Hello All... I have been asked to repair a few of the models that VFA-11 has on display in their ready room here at Oceana. One of the models is a Accurate Miniature 1/48 Grumman F3F. I'm in need of one or two main landing gear wheels. The spare parts forum has me coming up empty so I'm wondering is there another kit I could look at to find a similar wheel to use? Are there resin wheels simialr to what I need out there. I really don't want to buy a whole kit that I would not build just to obtain the wheels I need. Here is a picture of the model in question. Any help or direction would hel
  6. Darren and all thanks for the replies... It is a small modeling world. Yes, all the models are there and they look good other than the ones that I'm trying to repair. They are nice builds. When I picked them up I knew they had to be done by a modeler with some skills. I would really appreciate the help. My big concern is the tank. The missing wheel I can probably source or come up with an adequate replacement. I'll drop you a PM now.
  7. Hello All... I have been asked to repair a few of the models that VFA-11 has on display in their ready room here at Oceana. One of the models is a 1/48 F2H Banshee. I'm unsure of the original kit manufacturer. I think it may be the old Testors kit. I'm in need of one port side wing fuel tank in 1/48 and my post in the parts forum has me coming up dry. Does anyone have any advice on what options I could use to replace the tank? I think I can find the kit for sale but I'm trying to avoid purchasing the complete kit just to source the tank. After a bit more searching I think the kit co

The man continued by saying "Well...wh en Navy beats Army, he does a backflip." "That's incredible!" said the bartender. "What does he do when Army wins?" "I don't know," said the man, scratching his head. "He's only ELEVEN years old."
