  1. If it is going to prevent you from sharing your wit for even a short while, please start rowing by all means. <_< If your buddy has any plans to visit this year's air show though, please contact me. There will be free decal sheets involved.
  2. This might be a long shot, but we have lots of folks here who work in aerospace; so here goes: Is there anyone in Dubai attending the Dubai Air Show right now? If so, please send me a PM.
  3. I believe the first kits are shipping in Europe right now..I will start shipping these decals later this week, right on time along with the kits.
  4. Don, I don't see anything new on Mike's blog about the S-2A conversion apart from the old announcement he made in a blog post. Do you have a link to any new information or photos?
  5. I think Kinetic F-16s are fine kits, but the best kit to build a Turkish F-16D Block 50+ would be the Hasegawa kit (kit #9906). It has both types of intakes and exhausts, and has everything you will need to build 07-1015.
  6. My decal sheet includes stencilling for Turkish Block 50+ Vipers as well as a single option for 07-1015, which is so far the only Block 50+ Viper publicly displayed by the Turkish Air Force. The other aircraft are in the process of being built (in Turkey) and delivered, but 07-1015 is the only example that has been widely photographed. http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=7186886
  7. Microscale delivered the decals a couple days ago, and they look pretty good. It doesn't look like I will get the instruction sheets on time though, so I don't think I will be able to start shipping these tomorrow (Nov 11) as I promised earlier. I should be able to start shipping these mid next week. Considering that the kit itself has not shown up yet, I hope this is OK with those of you who preordered...
  8. OK, wait: did he really come to the US with the expectation that it would be possible to earn a living only by making and selling resin scale model aircraft accessories? In 2011? In today's economy? I hope that is not the case, because it does not seem very realistic to me. I hope he reconsiders his decision and stays in business, though.
  9. First off, let me put in a shameless plug for my new 1/48 Turkish Air Force F-16C/D decals. These will be the most accurate Turkish F-16 decals ever done, period. They include the Turkish/English stencilling you will need for this aircraft, and the squadron insignia. They will also come with all the information you will ever need to build a Turkish F-16C/D of any block, any unit: complete with all the additional parts you will need, where to find those parts, and weapon suggestions for each unit. They will be shipping next week. You can get more information here, and preorder them if you want.
  10. Thanks, Rob. Can you send me a PM with the name of the Ebay seller that you got it from? Was it this one? I have the RAL K7 deck and I think it's an excellent value for anyone who deals with German colors.
  11. Thanks, Jennings: I looked around; and it looks like most of the fans available are made by paint companies. There does not seem to be an official fan that has BS381c colors only.
  12. Is there an official fan deck for British Standard (BS 381c) colors? I am working on decals for some RAF subjects, and I need to find equivalents for some BS 381c colors. Prior experience tells me that most online color conversion charts are inadequate, so I would prefer to have an official reference. The link here mentions a "BS5252F" deck which sounds like what I want. They offer their own BS381c fan deck but it is rather expensive, and I would prefer to find a less expensive source for the official product.
  13. The pre-order link for the first of the two Turkish F-16C/D decal sheets is active now. I will start shipping this sheet on November 15. CD48006: Turkish Air Force F-16C/D Part 1
  14. The 1/72 MQ-9 Reaper sheet from Caracal Models is now shipping. Most of the pre-orders were shipped during the weekend and today; and the first reviews should appear on the usual Web sites shortly. I hope you will like the new instruction format and the variety of MQ-9 markings on the sheet. You can place your order at this Web page.

  16. Do you happen to have more photos of the Oregon F-15?
  17. No, they are not. Using decals in those sections would not have given satisfactory results; and the scheme is very easy to paint with some masking. The instructions will have detailed illustrations that show the masking lines.
  18. Looks like the modern version is called PC-S. $6.77 on Ebay, $4 shipping from Korea. PS: I just realized that the Tamiya scriber is nothing but a rebranded Olfa PC-S in black! http://www.ebay.com/itm/OLFA-11mm-Plastic-Cutter-PC-S-Included-2-Spare-Blades-/260823551998?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cba4b8ffe#ht_2807wt_1002
  19. Your choice, it is the best scriber the planet has ever seen. Seriously. It sells for $10 at Amazon and major hobby stores.
  20. I draw my 3-view drawings myself as well. I either scan drawings from books or find good side-view photos online and trace over them to end up with a scalable vector drawing. Most of these will be only used in instruction sheets and promotional material, so a reasonable level of accuracy is sufficient.
  21. I think the Olfa P-cutter (P450) is still the best scribing tool known to man. http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/tnt1/101-200/tnt105_OlfaP-cutter_Aleong/tnt105.htm http://www.aeroscale.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=471
  22. These sheets are finished and are on their way to the printer's. The 1/48 version will be CD48009 and 1/72 will be CD72004. Estimated release date for both sheets is first week of December. Pre-order links will be active this weekend. CD72004 CD48009
  23. Wait-they are closing their Web business because they don't have an English speaker? How difficult is it to hire an English speaking employee in Japan?
