When a jet fighter is going to have a new paint job, how is the old paint stripped? Thanks, GG

Any news about the last missing Seal? GG

Talk about deconstructing myths! :D GG

Does anybody know more info about this incident? I've heard the crash site was reached. GG

Thinking of puttying that wing-fuselage gap??
General Grievous replied to Viper52's topic in Tools 'n' Tips
So realism is just using silicone glue instead of putty! GG -
It would be great if someday you could publish the photos (all!) and your story (how you get in there) on a web site... GG

If you haven't tried yet ask the guys at www.starshipmodeler.com, Real Space Modeling section, probably they'll know good references. GG

Great shots indeed! I read that the Apache can do these rolls, but are they allowed to do it in demo shows? GG

2 seater Eurofighter 'shot down' 2 F-15Es

It could be worse. Someone could have asked: "Who would win? An imperial star destroyer or the USS Enterprise?" GG -

Of course. But would you agree that (because of their professional background) they're in better position to discuss this matter than most of the guys? GG -

Dux, Yeah, on the internet no one knows that I'm really a dog. But it's a known fact (and already proven) HERE IN ARC that some people like Murph and Waco are not dogs. GG -
Wow! Good luck, mate! :( GG

Jeff, If you read my post again you'll notice that I was saying the same thing you did. I wrote that the MEDIA at the time (1st Gulf War) was giving the Tornadoes a bad reputation UNFAIRLY. I was bringing to attention the fact it's no use trying analysing something seriously by reading news on the media. I have nothing against brits. GG -
Cool pictures, thank you! GG

No problem with Typhoons beating F-15Es. I think they're supposed to. Perhaps the way of using a single incident and related news as "proof" that bother some people. Perhaps the F-15E pilots don't get much training in dog fighting. Perhaps the Typhoon pilots (test pilots?) were much better, more experienced and they would win even if piloting old Phantoms againt the Strike Eagles. In the first Gulf War Tornados got shot down like flies... at least that was what I read on the newspapers. At the time I thought it was unfair to the aircraft's reputation... And no problem with breaking the rule -

Yes. I always read that Strike Eagles fly like a truck compaired to a F-15C. I don't know what is this thread all about. GG -

Uh...Ever hear of the X-Wing??
General Grievous replied to Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy's topic in Sci-Fi Modeling
Yeah, I was about to ask the same thing... GG -
Brazilian government has decided to buy 12 second-hand Mirage 2000C from France for substituing its Mirage III force. The F-X project, which was intended to be the starter order ($700 million) for re-equipment of brazilian air force (potentially a multi-billion business) is in the freezer for a indefinite time. GG

The late Ayrton Senna, F-1 champion, took a ride once in an australian F-111. Oh, and of course, Tom Cruise in F-14s. GG

Lightsaber's Finished!!!
General Grievous replied to Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy's topic in Sci-Fi Modeling
Lightsabers don't emit laser light, they emit plasma energy Yeah, I'm a nerd. You're correct but unfortunately the term "laser sword" was used on the prequel movies. George Lucas said everything in his SW world should be believable but had to have a strange and not-from-this-earth name, and then he writes "laser sword" on the scripts. Go figure... GG -
Although I agree that there's no need to being paranoid, Tenax is very toxic and should be used with some precaution. If a modeler uses Tenax as his main glue for years and years without taking any precaution probably he's taking a totally avoidable risk of getting nasty cumulative toxic effects on his body organs. Humbrol line is oil based, so you can use white spirits to thin these paints. GG
