Oh your spot on about learning lessons from the past…. The problem is they didn’t learn the lessons from 1945, you don’t go into wars if you do not intend to win. The folks back in 2001 didn’t look to far into Afghan history. I’m pretty sure the Chinese and Russians will help them out, not to mention the contractors that the Taliban have.
