I have no idea. But I would speculate they go over the lower fusalage. They (engine nacelles on the main part) look smaller in diameter. I still don't get the wing mechanism either. It looks like they have some extra pieces.

wow, they are really resin? It is crazy that they are single piece.

I am bringing mine together currently. Only thing that disappointed me so far is the exhausts. Since I have the Su-33 going on too, I keep comparing the two. Kinetic exhaust are single piece and have the same level of detail. So they are much easier to achieve a better finish. I don't understand why GWH keeps doing these 4 piece exhausts. Same thing was true for their F-15 and Mig-29 kits too. I kind of understand for F-15 featherless exhaust but I don't get it for Flankers and Fulcrums. Otherwise it is going great ! 😄

I haven't used the Mig-29 ones yet. however I used their F-15 ones more than once (F-15J and C). F-15 and Mig-29 ones look like they are the same quality. They are very very good printing/color wise. However, the application requires setting solutions. With Tamiya decal solution (the weak one) my experience was good. The larger decals fit to the rivets etc very nicely. Small data stencils are a little bit more visible (no silvering just the carrier film is visible) but after a thick coat of future and following matte coat you cannot see them readily. Thanks Berkut. I am aware of some "patched" sections. More of an artistic license what I am planning to do. Some Flankers go crazy with weathering and this one, 710, is almost there. I bet it looked something like below after couple more months of flying :)

Well you may need some nose weight. So this will solve that! :) Not a terrible thing. haha.

Is there an airshow where you can see a B-2? Is there an airshow where you can see both blue angels and thunderbirds together?

To capture this extremely weathered look, I plan to do the following: 1) Paint the plane with aluminium color 2) Paint over it with the zinc chromate yellow 3) Go with lighter camouflage colors. 4) some highlight with more vivid/fresh camouflage colors. 5) Sand it down to taste to bring out the lower layers for weathered look. Has anyone tried smt like this? Do you guys think it can work? What can be the best aluminum paint with the most bite into plastic so it wont be too sensitive to light sanding.

I've just received the Su-35 kit 😄 After a long wait :) First of all, I think it is a great model. It looks beautiful. And I also thank you Gabor for all your effort making this model a better product. However I have to say your comparison between Kinetic and GWH is not fair. I have both kits and surface details and production quality of the examples I have very much comparable. The Su-33 (J-15) I have, has no sink marks at all. Details are very sharp in both. Major differences are 1) Decals and 2) Single piece weapons. Cheaper boxes do not have single piece weapons in them. Decals are obvious from the box covers.

My limit is 3 digits. Never bought anything more than $100. However, I have models cost me ~$200 with the aftermarkets I buried in them. (For 1/48)

This is an interesting option but my google skillz failed me, couldn't find anywhere selling it... :|
