  8. wow. VERY creative way for making use of those darn rubber bans! that's a handy technique !!!
  9. i think you nailed that NMF !!! very realistic silver-y finish!! its not overdone and it doesn't look too shiny! i really like how on some panels, they appear darker metal than the rest of the airplane.. oh man, slap on everything else already! i really want to see how this turns out :D keep up the great work Kevin!!
  10. hahahaha oh man. let me buckle my seat belts for this one! B) very excited to see this one go underway, Pierre! godspeed!
  11. !!! ahhh thats horrible !! i'm sorry this had to happen to you, you were putting so much time and effort into this! i really hope that you will salvage what you can and finish the build, even with the glue-y imperfections... thats a bigg loss! please press on ! im really rooting for you on this one dave !!
  12. ooh wow, tamiya has reallllllyyy good parts! that wing-fuselage joint looks like it'll come together rather easily !! i'm so used to working on WW2 planes that require massive massive filling jobs are you going to weather down the metallic sky blue later on?
  13. maybe the bubble canopy of the later models seem too modern/futuristic? either way, Dave is doing a splendid job on this build! i'm waiting to see more picture updates Dave B)
  14. Ohhh, brilliant! :) Thanks for answering that question, I've noticed the arm for a couple of the pictures now haha but I've gone back to your other pictures and I see his pose now
  15. niceeee ! what type of tubing did you use for the wing reinforcement? i need to install something similar into my wings too and it looks like you solved the same problem i have! ;) keep it up Texas !
  16. that dog looks real... ;) impressive Pierre!!! ps; how come the sailor on the far right's arm is disconnected and painted seperately ??
  17. hahah do you always dry-fit the stabilizers? you did that with your razorback too (haha unless its for picture purposes only! ;)) the more massive the scale, the most intense your work is !! haha man, i am hecka jealous :[ brewer, what did you use for your seat belts??
  18. hahaha holy geezes, that is smaller than i thought ! 1/72s huh? haha
  19. nice pibber !! down to the last detail in the rounds for the emplacement weapons !! too bad it's too small to go boating in :D
  20. for an OOB it looks incredible! hahah somehow you paint it so that it looks crazy even though the kit is all stock, with little/no aftermarket :D as for the difference between top coats, yeah the red label is the railroad line and i also hear that its been having some problems lately (clogging and such). the difference between the 'railroad' top coat and the 'regular modeling' top coat is still a mystery to me.. LOL ill try to find out and give you an answer. hopefully before this Zero finishes hehe so brewer! any updates? ;)
  21. hahah thanks, but i think YOU deserve the 150,000 bonus points for YOUR attention to detail and reference! it's very cool that you noticed the different tire treads and that you are making this build as accurate as possible. keep it up dave !!!!
  22. beautiful touch with the sailors Pierre! that's just fantastic haha im really enjoying your diorama! :)
  23. hey dave im jut wondering, how come the last wheel (the one on the bottom right of this picture) has a different treading compared to the other 5 wheels? haha sorry it just caught my eye the work is looking fabulous! keep it up
  24. very nice shading work along the panel lines. they look incredibly realistic! how big is a 1/24 in respect to a human hand? can you take a picture with your hand in it so i can use your hand as a reference to get an idea as to how big the model is? :P thanks hehe keep up the great work in the meantime though! -bosco
  25. 1. What do you guys use for your Top Coats (what brand? gloss, flat, dead flat?) and how do you guys prepare it (ratios, number of coats, etc)? 2. What is the difference between the PollyScale Green-label and the Red-label? (sorry if this is a redundant question but I don't know the difference) Thanks in advanced for all the input!!
