  1. Just back from Nats and finally got a chance to look at my Convention Package. Since the decals are once again not in my scale, I am putting them up for sale. $10.00 includes shipping in the US. Paypal preferred but will accept a cashiers check or money order. Sheet comes with markings for 4 aircraft.
  2. Phillippe, Saw a picture of this on display at an airshow a few years ago and have been searching for more on it ever since. So glad you decided to post here. It is even better seeing it all it's glory. Fantastic job.
  3. Do you know a good source for decals for it?
  4. Looks good. Keep wanting to make mine in Filipino markings.
  5. If it is 1/72nd scale I will build it: Aircraft Armor Boats Sci-Fi Will also do other scales as needed (mainly sci-fi but a couple 35th scale armor and 48th scale planes in the stash) Will also build figures (mainly fantasy or sci-fi) and Autos but they pretty much need to be Movie/TV related or designed by Tom Daniels.
  6. The Blues were in St George, UT last weekend and I saw them (ok, saw the planes, left before they flew to beat the traffic) and from what I read put on another great show. Also performing was the US F-22 Demo Team which has now replaced Vipers East and West and the A-10 demo team. This last was a cost cutting venture to allow more training/flying time for USAF pilots. The same report stated the Angles and Birds would keep on performing. Too visible an asset IMHO. https://picasaweb.google.com/115549746726410540917/ThunderOverUtahStGeorgeAirshow2012
  7. Love the camo. Taking a closer look at your lead pic I noticed the F-106 in the background is in MTANG markings and looks like the pic was taken at the Great Falls Airport. We had an airshow up there once in the mid 70's where a couple of Camo'd Mustangs showed up. Think someone told me they were ex-South American birds that had been bought by someone in the US. Know I took pics but probably on old Kodachrome. Will have to see if I can find them.
  8. Think I will bag the boneyard for this GB but will definitely do something some day (got the D-21 drone from the Monogram 72nd scale SR-71 that I think will look neat in the white coating). Put me down for Rommel's Rod (I do like to be different). I am still trying to find some 24th scale accessories for it but have the replacements for the tracks so can start. Hmm, one of the few other autos in my stash happens to be Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters. Course, I want to do the proton packs for storage for that and not sure my skill level is there. Nope, will be lucky to get anything done as the on

You are not the only one. My oldest requested this for Christmas (he is 26) and I got a deal on it on Thanksgiving day. His brother picked him up several others. After Christmas he went looking and managed to find a large number of them at Toys R Us, Sears, Walmart, etc but the shelves are pretty bare now. He did say the company was planning on restocking the retail outlets but no idea when.
  10. I have a couple ideas that are outside the box. Boneyard aircraft? Been thinking of a dio or two with planes at AMARC. Rommel's Rod? Ok, it is a car but is it military (sort of) and it has two skeletons in it.
  11. Looks like I am late to the party but have some I would like to build that fit. Will probably do a Bolivian T-33 or Honduran F-5E.
  12. I have that sheet and won't be making all of them so if there is one you are looking for let me know.
  13. Sorry Bob, no info on the Yacht that was docked by the Norwegian Cruise ship. One of the guys on another forum asked if it belonged to a Royal but I never asked anyone about it. Here is another pic of it though from my NYC album.
  14. No, I didn't go in Concorde as didn't want to pay the extra to look inside another airliner (even it this one is a lot cooler) plus was rushed for time as had co workers coming in that evening. Missed some of the below decks exhibits also and if I had known about the elevator ride I would have been in the line as I was on the ship
  15. Just got back from a Summit for work in the Big Apple. Flew out Saturday so I would have a little time to see some of the sites. One stop was the Intrepid Museum which consists of the USS Intrepid (with a bunch of planes, etc on it), the USS Growler submarine and a Concorde. Here are a few of the pics. And a link to the rest of the album. https://picasaweb.google.com/115549746726410540917/IntrepidSeaAirSpaceMuseumNewYorkCityNY
  16. Airfix 1/76th Cromwell IV Tank A02338 box sealed - $7 Hobby Craft 1/72nd CF-105 Arrow HC1392 parts in sealed bag - $15 Heller 1/72nd Mirage IV A 80351 box sealed - $15 As usual, prices are in US Dollars and shipping is extra (yes, I am in the US). Accept Paypal or Money Orders.
  17. Took this shot just to show the rivets and panel lines. Got to get my new 72nd Revell kit out and take another look.
  18. Jim, Never been a fan of the Liberator other than the Ploesti raid. However, we did have Walter Stewart (pilot of The Utah Man, last plane to return from the mission) talk at one of our meetings years ago and his story was fascinating. And also, I now have a hard time turning down any flight on a warbird so if it comes around and I can swing the fee...
  19. So, Thursday afternoon at work my friend suddenly says "is there something odd about that plane?" Â So, I have to jump up to see what she is talking about. Â I get a view of a 4 engined propellor plane making a turn and dropping behind some trees, and that was it. Â But those engines and that tail, by golly, we have a B-17 making a visit. Was going to swing by Airport 2 after work but ended up taking my daughter off to the Doc. Later that night I remembered about the plane. Â A quick Google confirmed that Aluminum Overcast was in town for the weekend and offering rides www.b17.org. Cost is a
  20. While I loved the show in Omaha, the convention decals once again don't fit into my modeling. At the most I would be interested in a couple of the 72nd scale options but have no plans for them sooo... My lack of interest is your gain. If you want the 48th scale version, $10 If you want the 72nd scale version $10 If you actually want both, $20 Since I only have one color version of the placement guide, that will go to whomever requests a sheet first. I will do a copy of the sheet in b&w for the other buyer. There are 6 Yankee Station Mig Killers in each scale A-1H A-4C F-8E 2 F-
  21. Just checked and they are loading up fine for me so not sure the issue. Just added a few more to the first album and think I am done shooting for the show. And yes, the stash shelves are going to complain a little more after I add to them. Did do pretty good in the raffle, paid $10 and won the Tamiya 32nd Spit the first day (which I promptly sold off to someone for more spending money) and on the second day I won a Dragon 1/144th Tornado (which went in the box for the Troops) and a Badger Universal 360 Airbrush kit. Anyone need an airbrush?
  22. Actually, that is my entry in the Humor category. It is a Carpet Monster Trophy (like a deer head, etc). There are 4 pieces buried in the chunk and a quiz is listed to locate and identify them (the other 4 pictures are where they are hidden). Also, just posted up another couple hundred pics in the 2nd thread including some sprue shots from the Vendors area.
