  1. If my armor modeling has a grand strategy, it's to build like the classic Shepard Paine scenes so many of us enjoyed seeing years ago. In my earliest diorama efforts I discovered that slathering plaster, cat litter, and model railroad turf onto a hastily cut plywood base didn't make very convincing groundwork in 1/35th scale. And in the past several years, I've focused on the confrontation between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in Europe. Germany is green in mind, body, and spirit, so I'd better learn to build trees. Here's some experiments I've done lately. In all cases, the major
  2. Hi It’s cool to be back here with new stuff 🙂 A new thing I’d like to share. These are the 5DR “Rescue labor” mech with a mechanic, and a new model MILVUS-62 drone with an operator mini. Both on display with dioramas during the miniature paint festival in Warsaw this weekend. All of them are garage kits in 1/35 scale. The 5DR mentioned here before, is 20 cm tall and admittable it is just shaded/highlighted with no complex paint for now. Compared to it, the drone is completely painted and weathered and atypically floating on a single cable.

Comments: Pictures taken with DSRL in a light tent (5700K LEDs) except few taken outdoors which have slightly blueish background. I will like
  4. I have heard a lot of good things about this kit so I decided to pick one up and I started the build immediately. It is really a good kit but not perfect. I have mixed feelings about rised rivets. I know this is how it supposed to be but you need to be very carefull to not damage them while handling the parts. And I am not talking about sanding but just holding in hand. The pit lacks of seatbelts which is painful especially since it is hard to find any good pictures showing how they look. Nevertheless the parts fit together pretty nicely and the kit seem to be well engineered. So this is what
  5. Well the time has come to share what has taken over my work bench for the past year or so, amongst other things. I love modelling, especially when its a subject I can really relate to. As part of my past I worked in Italy for AgustaWestand, part of this time I was lucky enough to share hangars with great people and great helicopters, some of these were the civil arms of the Italian Government, Police, Fire and Forestry. The Forestry helicopters really took a hold of me, the AB412's, MD500's and the venerable Skycrane. This beast is an impressive workhorse even from afar, get close

    T-55 Enigma

Tamiya's Enigma built oob, lovely piece of kit!
  8. I sense that we're about to get a new crop of M113 kits from Asian manufacturers, which is fantastic news. Meantime, I figured I'd go one last round with Tamiya's ancient kit. I built a lot of these, including a few as a kid. When I didn't have a lot of money, it was good value, as it includes a basic interior and has potential for improvement by a determined modeler. The included '60s-'70s era U.S. infantry aren't bad, and could be used to easily depict other nation's troops as well. This time around, I'm building toward a 36th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Division M113 "s

  11. Here's one for our Cold War and artillery veterans: I'd like to build an M109A3 and M548 paired in road march, EUSAREUR, 1980s. When rolling along with the guns, what did M548s typically haul? Ammunition (per the AFV club kit), other gear, or crew? Or a combination these?

  13. This is Hobby Boss' Land Rover Defender in 1/35. Nice 'lil kit, enjoy.
  14. Hello folks, this is Trumpy's Chinese Army Type89 120mm anti tank gun built oob. kit was almost ok until the very last moment where the vinyl band tracks were a good 1cm short, so i had to move both idler wheels back and strengthen first and last road wheels due to the vinyl being not elastic enough. Still a pleasant build, after going tru some ref shots from the interwebs i decided to ramp up the dust, believe me this is very much restricted versus the real life shots these behemots being covered almost entirely in wet mud somehow (concealment?!)... Enjoy.
  15. meh of a kit, built oob. it's a pretty recent molding, not the afrika corps pz.II from BC alas it's uninspiring at best unusual for a contemporary tamiya kit dunno why. anyway, enjoy.
  16. Hi all, Tiger Model #4618 VBL Panhard Milan in 1/35 built oob. Not a bad kit per se but a tad expensive for what it is imo. Enjoy.
  17. Hey all, this is dragon #6294 built oob. magic link tracks and a ton of pe available in the box. kit is a bit finicky here and there but still a lovely build overall, enjoy.
  18. Hello all, After a very long while I re-started building seriously (as in "spending more time", not "professional quality" ;) ) Here are a couple of shots of my recently completed Merkava mk1 hybrid (Takom 1/35) with crew (Walkyrie 1980's IDF crew). Beautiful kit, fastest build ever for me (about 2 weeks end to finish). WIP can be found here Main adds to the kit, again not much as it's a great kit: Antiskid done with diluted PVA glue spread with a brush and covered with embossing powder Basket contents from various sets (Tamiya, Legend and Plus M

Academy kit no 1367, IDF blazer with kmt 4 mine rollers built entirely OOB, cheers.
  21. Hello friends The Tiger I was the first tank to be equipped with an 88mm cannon which proved to be formidable on all battle fronts. I had to have it in my collection, from the Tamiya brand at 1/35 scale. Greetings and I hope you like it https://youtu.be/dkT7Twk7v7s
  22. Hello partners Because of its design and its way of acting on the battlefield, I decided to build this battle tank. The model is the Stridsvagn 103 version C of the Trumpeter brand at 1/35 scale. Being a tank without turret, its low profile stands out against other models. https://youtu.be/p1NLEeblI1U Greetings and I hope you like friends
  23. Hello friends Here I show you the Chinook helicopter version CH-47A. I had to scratch a support to place the folded blades for not having enough space. The models are from the Trumpeter brand at 1/35 scale, which in my opinion comes very well detailed. If a partner wants details about the support of the blades he writes me. Greetings and I hope you like it https://youtu.be/cORriK4ePvk
  24. Hello friends I certainly could not miss this tank in my collection, in my opinion one of the best currently. Over the years it has been updated, hence its four versions that have demonstrated their capabilities on the ground. I wanted to place the model on a platform simulating an arid terrain where it has usually been its battlefield. https://youtu.be/GhRKlpQ7iOQ Greetings and I hope you like mates
  25. haven't been able to do anything worthwhile for the past month due to heat waves, now the temp is going down i am slowly picking up pace. this is zvezda's 3632 bmw r12 with driver and officer boxing. lovely kit, no issues. fuel drum and jerry cans are from tamiyas german fuel drums set, the grass is cut from modelscene's early summer with calc stones matting, earth is tamiya's earth paste. tiny amount of washes and pigments as usual. enjoy
