Wondering how many have actually flown in a seaplane here?

I've been fortunate enough to fly in these Air Taxis twice :-

The last time was a wild ride through the middle of a thunderstorm and flown by a pilot with bare feet  , now he was a real character...

I have flown in Chalk Airlines Turbo-Mallards several times.

I also remember flying in a bush plane in Alaska as a kid, but have no idea what kind it was.

Hey Doc-

Good question- indeed I have, as we have water all over the place here on the West Coast and a lot of times it's a lot quicker way to go (waiting in ferry line-ups has probably taken years off my life- or have I just spent years of my life IN them? ) These have been some of my most entertaining flying experiences!

Went up island once on a West Coast Air Twin Otter:

Have done the quick jaunt to Nanaimo on a Harbour Air Turbo Otter:

And just this past August got to do a little sightseeing hop in a Tofino Air Cessna off the west coast of Vancouver Island- and of course that was the afternoon my camera decided to die! I think they only have one, I believe this is it: C-GHBX

As the very pregnant wife had to give the Cessna ride a miss, I think we'll be going again soon in the new year- after the new arrival! It's actually not that expensive at all compared to taking your car on the ferry.

 A

I've had a ride with a C206 on floats once, but I also spent some time working with an amphibious Turbo Beaver som 10 years ago. Sadly, I never got to fly the thing...
