eastmanace
Does anyone have the correct mix on the color of the slime lights? Every decal sheet version that I've seen doesn't look convincing so I'd light to try and paint the ones on my 1/32 Academy Delta. Am I right in assuming that they are close to the same color as the yellow-green cylume sticks? Thanks, Cliff
Spongebob
Rest easy, every aircraft has a different shade as they react to UV. It's even common to have each one on a jet a different color. Anywhere from yellow to pale green to white.
Murph
They are a light yellowish-tan when they are not lit. Click here. Regards, Murph Edited March 29, 2007 by Murph
dylan
they are the color of bare fibreglass when off, because thats what is covering them. and when they are on they are the exact same as the indiglo on a timex watch. i am pretty sure it is the same technogoly. Emvar
And the best ones in decal form IMO come on the Leading Edge CF-18 Hornet decal sheets. Arrow graphics comes in a close second. Click me Emil
dsmith
I paint mine, and I found that this looks pretty convincing. Testors enamel: 1 part zinc chromate: 8 parts white -Doug :)
Andy Mullen
I have had the odd instance where the wingtip decals for the F-14 have failed, and I have resorted to using Humbrol 81 for mine. Edited August 16, 2008 by Andy Mullen
David Hingtgen
...yet Hasegawa seems to think they're Insignia Yellow...
David Hingtgen
Ack, double post, forum was acting weird (kept enabling "flood control"---even though this was the first post I've made today) Edited March 29, 2007 by David Hingtgen
kenlilly106
...yet Hasegawa seems to think they're Insignia Yellow... Don't forget, this is the same company that thinks Insignia White is ivory. Ken
