UKPonchoMan
Current state of play of F-4D no.1. This is being built straight from the Hasegawa kit, the only change being the addition of some aftermarket ejection seats, and decals from Hi Decal sheet 72-055. It will represent a/c 66-7751 from the 93rd TFS, 482nd TFW during early 1984 in the "flipper" 3-tone grey scheme. More to follow soon! UKPonchoMan
Right... first coat of paint is now on! I've used Xtracolor X139 which is FS16495 Light Grey - it's slightly lighter than the recommended FS16493 but I'm not aware of the latter color being available in the Xtracolor range (and NO I'm NOT repainting it if I get proven to be wrong!!) UKPonchoMan
I guess ebay is the best place... Unless Hasegawa re-release it with other markings of course...

UKPonchoMan
Only a little... I was away from home most of the weekend so didn't get much done. What I have achieved tonight is to tidy up the light grey a little... Edited May 6, 2008 by UKPonchoMan
el'TJ
Hey! nice work Chris, did you do the camo free hand?!
UKPonchoMan
Yup - marked out with pencil and then sprayed straight on. I don't have the patience for masking - it's bad enough having to mask exhausts and cockpits! I sprayed a coat of clear earlier so will hopefully be able to get on with decalling tomorrow night.
