oldHooker
Greetings all, This dio has been a dream in my head for a long time, so on Sep. 2nd I decided to make it a reality; finished it at 4am this morning! (finishing touches kicked my butt) I used the Airfix 1/300 B744 as the subject and Flyteline Models new MyDIO kit#1 to mount it. The landscape was accomplished using styrofoam and the water using Testors Clear Cement & Windshield Maker. All the other details were scratchbuilt, so no aftermarket parts were harmed. Enjoy! http://gunsagogo.org/SXM2.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM7.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM8.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM9.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM11.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM14.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM15.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM16.jpg http://gunsagogo.org/SXM19.jpg Take care, Frank Edited September 23, 2008 by oldHooker

SBARC
Ok....I had to click a few of your photos before I realised the photo in your post wasn't a real KLM jet. You captured all the subtle weathering and tiny details perfectly.
HOLMES
STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL... The way you have displayed and shown here looks SO REAL...BRILLIANT!! HOLMES.
oldHooker
Thanks John, Steve, and Holmes! Filming it in natural light really brings out the 'effect'! Displaying it in front of a large window where the sky will reflect in the mirror provides an eye catching side track, every time it's seen! :P Here's another picture showing the scratched landing gears, slotted flaps, and slats. :P Thanks again, Frank
