How I spent my summer vacation...

Recommended Posts

Greetings all,

This dio has been a dream in my head for a long time, so on Sep. 2nd I decided to make it a reality; finished it at 4am this morning! (finishing touches kicked my butt)

I used the Airfix 1/300 B744 as the subject and Flyteline Models new MyDIO kit#1 to mount it. The landscape was accomplished using styrofoam and the water using Testors Clear Cement & Windshield Maker. All the other details were scratchbuilt, so no aftermarket parts were harmed. :crying2: Enjoy!

Thanks John, Steve, and Holmes! :worship:

Filming it in natural light really brings out the 'effect'! Displaying it in front of a large window where the sky will reflect in the mirror provides an eye catching side track, every time it's seen! :P

Here's another picture showing the scratched landing gears, slotted flaps, and slats. :P

Thanks again,

Frank
