Any OOB IAF kitsi n 1/72

Recommended Posts

Is there anything out there with Israeli markings/conversions already in box? My modeling budget for the year is close to running dry.

I'm looking for something in 1/72...maybe a Spitfire, or F-15, or anything really

ER..wow! Not many. There are some resin kits but they are more expensive than buying an injection kit and decals.

Most, if not all, the Hasegawa stuff was short-run and is now out-of-production. There is the Hasegawa and Italeri Kfirs of course.

Now defunct Esci always seemed to include an Israeli version where possible.

Sorry, but current OOB is limited. I think this is why Isra and Sky`s decals exist, to plug a wide gap in the market.

Cheers, Ian

Hasegawa did some stuff. Mosquito and B-17 at least.

I have seen both of those. I don't know about the 17, but Hasegawa's Mosquito is a freaking joke. I would not recommend the kit to anybody.

Is the B-17 the old timer with new decals or a new tool?

I may try the Italeri Kfir, as it seems to be readily available in local shops. I'll have to take a look around though, maybe Big Bear will have something in their oldies but goodies stash

Hasegawa has done a number of limited edition releases of Israeli aircraft.

F-15A/C

and of course they have their Kfir C2 as well. I personally like it better than the Italeri kit. It has raised panel lines, but the fit, shape and detail is better in my opinion.

Cheers,
