Space: 1999

Recommended Posts

The Eagle Transporters were used by Moonbase Alpha personnel in the series Space: 1999. The Eagles were modular in design, with different modules used in the centre section depending on mission.

The Eagles used nuclear fusion rockets for propulsion and were equipped with gravity shielding which allowed them to accelerate to 15% of light speed.

Space: 1999 was created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, and was first broadcast in the UK in 1975.

Neat! I always loved the utilitarian look of the Eagle. I built two or three of the MPC (reboxed Airfix?) kits when I was a kid..I still have the remains of one of them in one of my junk kit boxes.

I agree Steve, the ships always had a 'real world' feel to them, something very feasible ...

Another fine profile, Clave ...

Are you going to do the shorter 'fighter' craft as well ? (I forget what they were called ...)

Gregg

If I can find some reference drawings to work from anything is possible... <_<
