ALF18
Say whaaat?????? uhhhh.... awkward.... So what should I say? Would you rather hear that the model is relatively simple, or that you are... ? Maybe I'll just stop talking now! If it helps at all, I am really liking the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4E kit. Compared to the Czech Model T-33, it is actually quite an easily-assembled kit. Will post progress soon. ALF
RedIndian
Hey Dan! Just a few words on this, that's another lovely CF-104 rendition you've realized here! Really outstanding. I am in awe of your dedication and endurance to even complete two Starfighters in this Group build. Really great results you have achieved there with the kitchen foil technique! Unfortunately I failed to participate in time with my own CF-104D project in this group build. Though I plan to start either in the Jet Modeling section or with the "On Canadian Wings" Group build here soon. Regards, Rafael

What colour scheme would you do for the Dual? Looking forward to seeing it. If you were really fast, you could enter it in the "Not your Nation" GB - but that might not give you enough time to do a proper job. Not everybody rushes as much as I do. ALF Well, there are so many tempting possibilities regarding the colour schemes for the CF-104D. Most probably I am going for the exact scheme worn by the CF-104D's in Europe (white horizontal stab) as shown in the fantastic photo you had uploaded in the opening post of your thread here (shows '655). I really love that style. I have the Belcher Bit decals ready, I just need to figure which airframe I'm going to build. Depending on the serial (e.g. 664, 665, 666 or 655) I need to order one more of those decal sets to have enough of those sixes or fives. I am doing the 1/72 Hasegawa first, after that the 1/48 Hasegawa kit. Will be trying the kitchen foil technique (again). BTW, do you have any more photos from those CF-104D's in Europe as you posted at the beginning? It's absolutely awesome! Cheers, Rafael

Cheers, Rafael Rafael I found a bunch more pics of the Europe-based Duals on Airliners.net (but of course I couldn't post them directly in the thread). If you want, I can see if I have any left over tail numbers from some Belcher Bits CF-104 sheets. Let me know which numbers you need, and I'll send you some. That's the least I can do after your help in arranging the tour of the Control Tower in Baden! Shoot me a PM with your e-mail and your mailing address, and I'll send a couple pics and you can confirm what you want. ALF
