You asked for a Desert Storm Group Build, and you got it! Anything goes, as long as it participated in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Granby, Operation Friction, Operation Daguet or any of the other allies and of course Iraqi forces. And not just military planes, also armor, ships and civil planes are allowed. This build runs from 2 August 2010 - 28 Feb 2011, and your hosts for the build will be Pete and Benner.
This one is pretty self-explanatory; if it's a trainer, it qualifies....so no era or type limits. As long as it is or was used to trainer aircrew members (and not just pilots) it's eligible. Even if it's a single seater fighter that was used to train fighter pilots or even a single seat elementary glider from the 1920s and 30s it's eligible. It may powered or non powered, fixed or rotary winged, jet or prop, military or civil. The only stipulation is that you do some research and make sure the markings are accurate for that time period and at least attempt to show some documentation or have a history of the aircraft from somewhere. The build runs from 1 April 2010 to 1 October 2010, and your host for the build will be ross blackford.
This group build is for fans of the F-86 Sabre, F-100 Super Sabre, and associated variants. Basically any F-86, F-100 and the Naval Sabre/Furies are fair game for this build. The build runs from 1 May until 30 October, and your hosts will be Julien (UK) and CreepyGuy.
Any ship named Enterprise, sea or space, and any aircraft with Enterprise as its home base when assigned to a CVW. The build runs from 1 Oct 2009 to 1 Apr 2010, and your hosts will be phantom and Steve Filak.
Another one of those "group builds so nice, they did it twice!" The rules for this build are simple: you can build any aircraft that took part in operations on the Channel Front from 1 July 1940 to 31 October 1940. Any scale, any level of detail you like, and the kit should not be more than 25% complete prior to the start of the build. This Group Build runs from 1 April 2010 until 30 September 2010, and your hosts will be johnsan, The Mikester, and Lock N Load.
Here's one for those of you that need a change of pace from airplanes. Anything goes, as long as it's not an aircraft, sci-fi, or real spacecraft. The build will run from 3 August 2009 to 3 February 2010, and your hosts for the build will be madmike and jugjunkie.
Once again, this build covers Luftwaffe subjects. Models submitted to this group build must have taken part in the air defense of Germany from the January 1943 to VE Day in 1945. The build runs from 1 Oct 2009 to 1 Apr 2010, and your hosts for the build will be The Mikester, moeggo, and Pete Wenman.
