Marcin Czarnowicz
Efharisto parpoli Angelos :) Bad news is that I have to stop the project for the while. I'm now en-rout to Cairo, Egypt, get stuck at Prague Airport. I'm archaeologist working at Tell el-Farkha (www.farkha.org). I'll be back around Easter. But depends on conditions at the camp I'm going to start another project -> EAF Mig-21MF (with some CMK goodies) from 104sq, Mansurah AB 1973.

ST0RM
Excellent work on the Starfighter. An RJAF bird (derelict or not) is still a very unique subject. Thanks for keeping us up with your progress. -Jeff

Marcin Czarnowicz
Hi Marcin! Nice painting job! Especially on this small insignia. pozdrowionka! This is because I get perfectly cut masks. For those who missed it Wojtek, one of our best Polish modelers, cut the masks for this bird. Once again Thank you. Marcin
agelos2005
excellent work mate! the RJAF markings are masks or aftermarket?
Marcin Czarnowicz
This are self made masks cut by Wojtek. As you can see on the first page of this topic, I redraw roundels in CorelDraw and send the project to Wojtek Fajga. He cut the masks in his workshop and send it back to me. If somebody would like to get a template of RJAF roundels let me know I'll share, also I can help you in making templates of other markings, numbers etc....
toniosky
Very orignal painting scheme - I really like your project !
Marcin Czarnowicz
Next step: I've washed the model with a mix of Abt 502 Dark Mud + Sepia and Burnt Sienna from Rembrandt. I got a nicely grayish- brownish color. Next step was a coat of vallejo clear satin- it gives to the model a beautiful finish. I was working also on the jet pipe and radar cone. Still much more to do. Anybody knew where this bird should have RBFs? And now is time to make it a little bit more dirty.
JMan
One of the best looking Starfighters. Thanks for showing this. I really love your weathering. This plane has always amazed me in the fact that it actually was a flyable. Can't wait till your next update, hope we don't have to wait too long! Jeremy
Marcin Czarnowicz
In order to finish this build I went out to do small shopping. First of all I would like to set this plane on the base presenting the part of the runway. I've found completely new branch- Steel Scorpion. They are specialists in paper- laser cut stuff. This stuff is gorgeous, very nice print with small texture on the upper surface. I have also their's RFB. I must said that this are the best RBF I've ever see.But in the first row I will try to do it on my own. I have a few sheets of polyester to make base and boarding ladder. Some photos. Spilloneforever
I'm following closely this topic because I'm in love with the 104. I have to say that you're building a real masterpiece, starting from the choice of the subject and continuing with the flawless realization. Keep up the good job! Fulvio PS: I'm an administrator for a Flickr group called "Aviation: Starfighter" where you'll find some nice photos for all the 104 lovers linky

Jurek Ogurek
Thanks for the invitation. It's a long way from Vermont to Krakow. I always visit Krakow for several days when I'm in Poland. I'm due to visit next year. I studied at ASP from 1978- 1983. Those were very interesting times. I remember a hobby shop near the Rynek on Slawkowska. Are there other hobby shops in Krakow? I need to start posting some of my work. I love the understated weathering on your F-104.
Marcin Czarnowicz
Jurek there are some more shops in Kraków but not in the center, one is located next to the mail street leading to Wieliczka - on the corner of Biezanowska and Wielicka, another one is located near Mlynskie circle. You are in better situation than I'm - traveling to Poland you don't need the visa. I need to go threw online visa form (hundreds of questions about everything) than paying 140$ and finally get for the meeting with consul and have a hope to receive it. even thought I can be rejected by the immigrant officer at the airport. Everything that only because I was invited for the conference held at Metropolitan Museum... I've done some more work on my F-104 First pf all add some weathering to finalize painting. I've preapred the pilots seat and have done runway as a part of the base of the model. the base ( I will add a wooden stand ) Pilot's seat Edited June 12, 2011 by Marcin Czarnowicz
