A-10 LOADER
Greetings everyone, Small update for tonight, I masked off to spray the airbags on the Big Cat. Overkill I know but, at this stage of the game and after all this work I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'll spray these tomorrow along with other small areas this week. Small steps but, progress none the less. Thanks to everyone who's still keeping a watch on this project. Steve"TOMCATS FOREVER, BABY...!"

I tend to use a good kitchen paper towel rather paper, easier to go round corners etc. Keep on truckin'. John.
A-10 LOADER
Great question John, For the overall priming I used a Anest Iwata "baby series" spray gun. For the bottom color it was Tamiya rattle can. The Dark Ghost Gray, on the forward fuselage sides, was airbrushed with a Paasche VLS using decanted Tamiya rattle can paint. The top color was applied with the airbrush as will everything else color wise from here on out. Gloss coat and flat coats will be Model Master rattle cans. Thanks for having a look. A-10 LOADER
Today's updates, Had a very productive week so far on the Big Cat. I was able to get the over-wing fairing air bladders painted, the nozzle shrouds and, the forward fairings for the tails. I still have other smaller items that need painting before I can apply the gloss coat but, pretty happy with the progress so far. At least it's starting to look like something now. Thanks to everyone who still keeps an eye on the project. Hope you enjoy the pics. Steve"TOMCATS FOREVER, BABY...!"

A-10 LOADER
Greetings all, Happy 4th of July. Today's update consists of painting all the small details on the Big Cat prior to the gloss coat. I really enjoy this part because, next to the decal stage, this step starts to bring the aircraft to life. Enjoy the pics and thanks very much for looking in. Steve "TOMCATS FOREVER, BABY...!" my favs are F`s
Hi Steve, I don't quite know... perhaps everywhere?! 🙂 There are plenty of "lonely" panel lines, at least on the lower fuselage. The nose section looks nicely riveted. Well, it's just me who sees it that way. I can only imagine how giant is the plane in this scale. And all the rivets/fasteners etc. - i call this riveting. JohnS
Looking really good, Steve. Do I see the embedded antennae on the ventral fins painted too?

GW8345
The red square on the other side of the chaff buckets is where the ECM system safety pin goes. The opening at the end of the ventral fin on the nacelle is the oil cooler exhaust. GW

Between all my reference material, I've pretty much depicted every visible rivet that should be on the jet. She measures 42 inches in length and, with the wings swept fully forward, she's roughly 42 inches across. Steve "TOMCATS FOREVER, BABY...!"

John Wolstenholme
Steve, the time we have all been waiting for, but take however long it takes. Presumably these are cut from a continuous carrier film printing? What's the purpose of the tag to many of the decals? You're looking real good. John.
