Dan Aykroyd now a sheriff.

Elwood Blues was used to evading the law. Now, he's a sheriff's deputy! Jake is not happy!

Actually, he used to serve in law enforcement. I believe for fifteen or sixteen years? Correct me if I'm wrong.

At 61, he's not going to be much more than ride-alongs, and fund raising for the local sheriffs ball. I've a one word question....why?. Is he going to go thru the rigors of academy training, is he going to spend time on the range, will he be well versed in Mississippi law, if the situation arises will he make a collar, alone? Most deputies ride solo, will Danny boy be going on patrol, Are he and the Sheriffs Dept factually serious?.

From what I gather from the article, this was a spur of the moment thing. Still, I'm happy for him.

If I got pulled over by him, I had have to tell him I couldn't afford brakes from Salinski Auto Parts, that's why I ran the red light!

Kind of a downgrade for him isn't it? I mean, in his younger days, wasn't he a T-38 flying detective in the LAPD?
