1/48th F-4EJ

Recommended Posts

This is my only entry for this GB and one of three F-4 I am currently building.

This is my first time around building the Hasegawa F-4 and other than some issues getting the cockpits in the right position, I am happy with how they go together.

I am currently working on getting the wings glued on and the intakes & noses puttied and sanded.

Here are some pictures of my progress:

Looking Good Sean!

What scheme ya planning on doing?

Dave

planning on the Gray and Blue scheme OOB. I wanted to do the two tone blue, but I can't find decals. those white stencils are hard to come by.

I have managed to get the camo painted already and I have since masked for the black nose and anti-glare panel. I hope to get that done soon.

Here is the progress so far. I am down to the final bits and the next updates should be of a completed model.

Its a little hard to see but this has the lighter gray painted already

And then the dark blue was added..its a custom mix. Can't remember what shade of blue I used but I just added black and eye-balled it.

Really nice work. What did you use for the panel line wash?

Darwin

Just standard walmart tempra kids paint. Mixed with water and a bit of hand soap, brushed on, left to dry then wiped off with a lint free rag.

cheap and easy.
