OK started with the Hobby Boss AH-64D;

the first cut is the deepest

IM000699.jpg

then stated building the end of the l/h cheek housing

IM000700.jpg

Then I decided I had to do an EH-101 so pulled out one and stated playing? It is going to be a 'What If' build

IM000705.jpg

added a fictional hoist

then got onto the interior, the table on the r/s is for the Sensor Op

IM000708.jpg

then started building his seat

IM000709.jpg

then glued the tail together and cleaned up the inside

IM000706.jpg

as an aside (this kit is not for the GB was started long ago) this is the interior for my Oil Rig supply version of the EH-101. It will be done in Canadian Helo markings.

That's all for now got toget to the Mustang Club meeting.

Cheers

Thanks, continued work on the EH-101;

IM000716.jpg

put in some sound curtains on the interior, the piece at the front still needs windows cut out, the stuff along the roof is something I have picked up from interior shots of 101s.

IM000717.jpg

now the rear portions are painted.

One can never have enough Evergreen stuff, unless of course ALL your kits are built OOB!! :)

The diamond pattern comes from another Evergreen product ( the pic wasn't intended as link to this method) sheet Tile #4501 with 1/16" squares. I cut a piece of tin foil to the shape needed, then lay it on the tile plastic with the straight(est) edge cutting the boxes in half diagonally, then work the foil into the plastic with a pencil eraser. Then using Micro's Foil Adhesive stick it to the kit and let dry completely, then trim what is not needed with a very sharp knife. It busys up the interior and hides the junk from the molding process.

Thanks Guys, I am using the What If EH-101 to test mods for future 101 builds. The next shots show the extended height door that is used on the VH-71, this way when I do the actual kit the mod has been done before!

The door test fitted in place:

and here they are separately;

Patience Grasshopper!

Maybe Italeri is actually listening to what has been said about the 72nd ones and is actually fixing the errors????? :salute:

Of course you could always build a 72nd one, I won't tell. :whistle:
