  1. Cool Spit, it looks real well done. I'm currently making Tamiya's Trop. version of the Mk.5b; I'm airbrushing!

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

    I agree, WOW!!!
  3. That looks really cool. I like the weathering! What scale is it?
  4. Hey Tiger. The first time I used a wash to 'highlight' panel lines, I used a chalk-pastel wash, which I learned from ARC's "Tools N' Tips" section. It's not too difficult a technique, and it looks really good as a finished article. HTH & Happy Modeling!
  5. One of those Pin Vice things; great for those small holes, and are easier to use than tiny drill bits. Happy Modeling.
  6. That's one great Spit. I'm making a Tamiya Mk.Vb at the moment, and one thing I will say is that the canopy is remarkable. I'm just hoping there won't be a problem with the decals  !
  7. If I remember right, the "Tools N' Tips" section of ARC has one or two sections on fixing canopies.
  8. I'm really only a beginner to the whole pastel chalk thing, but along with a stiff brush, I also use cotton swabs, with just a little chalk. Tadhg
  9. Hey all! I've just cleaned the sprue of my Tamiya Spit, but I'm wondering if I am not thorough. All I do is fill a basin with warm water and a pinch of washing-up liquid, and give the sprue a 'wipe' with my hands while in the water. Then I let it dry in the hot-press over-night. I've read about people leaving the sprue in water for 24-48 hrs., and then giving a scrub with a toothbrush. Is what I do enough, or should I do more? Thanks for any help! :P Tadhg
  10. Hello all! I'm just curious as to what you guys (and gals), use for antenna cables. I was thinking of black sewing thread, but thought it might be a bit thick for 1/72 scale planes. :D Thanks all! Tadhg.
  11. Real Nice. First in twenty years (I'm not even that old ), looks like you have still got your skills.
  12. Maskol Masking Tape Newspaper Electrical Tape
  13. Nice one guy's. I'll take it for a test drive today...
  14. I have just recieved a new airbrush for Christmas, with which I have no experience. Due to lack of free time (exams etc.), I haven't even used it. Has anyone got any tips for me??? Another thing I was thinking about: "How do you the paint from those small Humbrol tins into the Airbrush jar?" I've heard about pants made for pouring into the jars, but I have none in my collection, and I haven't seen any in my local hobby shop. Thanks all Tadhg.
