  1. Hello, Ken! Nuclear flash protection (as in Tu-22M/-95MS's). Su-34's are replacing Tu-22M-3's in Eurostrategic bomber role, therefore shields and upgraded avionics capable of operating strategic loads. Instrument LED panels adjust brightness automagically when lit by sun, you can see that in available documentaries on youtube etc. Regarding paint scheme, it could be overpainted later for something different, let's wait and see. Two black ducks are 2nd batch last machines, kind of partly using new elements from 3rd batch, which will include new engine, new ECM codename "Tarantul", etc.

    MFI-9B Militrainer

Master model done last summer, now purifying details for plastic short-run release via Olimp Models. All versions and modifications are possible, incl. german licence-built Bolkow's. Prepare your credit cards! B)

  4. Hello! I badly need drawings and good close-up photos for MFI-9B Militrainer version, also known for Biafra AF use by graf Carl Gustav von Rosen. I know there were drawings issued for HB (homebuild) version, those would be of great help to make 1/72 upcoming scale resin model better.
  5. This tow bar is maritime use only (TAKr "Admiral Flota Sovetskogo Soyuza Kuznetsov"), unique device that you can't see anywhere else (even on NITKA learning'n'training base). We will consider releasing on-land-used K2K (for Su-27 series aircraft) and MA-3117 (for MiGs) tow bars as well, if the interest is high enough. No product available - is no excuse for delaying any modelling project; I will personally make a mastermodel of anything you need, if you're ready to pay. Let me know what aftermarket for Su-33 is essentially needed.
  6. Dear Ken! Thank you for your moral support, but I'd like to have the correct number two days before... Towing bar is already done and tomorrow is being transferred to Unknown yet Company for mass production. Yes, in a month or so there will be towing tractor 3913 (early and late style wheel discs) together with towing bar (optional replacement fork for Su-33) and wheeling bar, all in 1/72 scale, resin kit with photoetched parts and marking decals. Hope you all will enjoy it.
  7. Hello guys! I badly need precise measurements of Su-33 frontal axle, the distance between towing holes:
  8. Checked Wolfpack product on official site, is it any good in terms of accuracy, comparing to Aires' one? Or is it just better fitting into Academy's model? I've recently bought NeOmega set (without control stick, thou...), looks very promising, some parts are much more precise than Aires', I'll try to paint and assemble - so we could compare at least two options. If anyone can post here good macro pictures of finished cockpits of any make for MiG-29 (any scale, any prototype) - please do so, let's make knowledge base! I also kindly welcome Tomcat Fan and Derek Moss to show your cockpits here!
  9. Thank you for the comments! Now I'll avoid Academy model, let's wait until Trumpeter or someone else will make proper 1/48 scale model of 9-12 and 9-13 airplanes. Unassembled (but still missing some minor detailed painting) parts can be seen in the same folder, added some pictures: http://www.mediafire.com/?soic3pbiu066u
  10. Out-of-box, I figured how-to on seventh attempt only. 8) The trick is to paint small details with non-xylene markers, and to use gloss Future analog for scale windows and as glue. Seatbelts will be added as soon as I figure out how to bend and position them correctly. 8) Sadly, I have no MiG-29 1/48 model to host this precious diamond in. So it's a stand-alone vignette for now. I love Aires! Gallery: http://www.mediafire.com/?soic3pbiu066u
  11. Not much Harrier builds here.. AV-8B Harrier II Plus 1/32 Trumpeter, out-of-box assembly and painting, took one week: Gallery here: http://www.mediafire.com/?wzldtz4u1591b The quality of the kit is dissappointing, many parts are wrong (not of proper version), instruction got mistakes on every page, the fit of parts is bad, thou the price is pretty high. Landing light self-made (circle punched of thick alu foil, rolled with steel ball to form hemisphere and glued into position), HUD glasses in cockpit made nicely greenish by striking with green non-xylene marker pen along the si

  13. Sorry, Floggerman, K-36 seat as per instructions, had no time to investigate, if czechs changed KM-1 to K-36 or not on their airfleet (I expected such an upgrade, otherwise I see no reason for Trumpeter did so in instructions). In any case, seat is not glued, so easily can be exchanged on demand. 8) Nevertheless now I have opportunity to make small vignette with KM-1 only. 8) If Trumpeter and/or retailers drop prices, I will buy this kit and do it slowly and properly, with all the scratch modifications that Zac shows us so kindly. I'm still very hoping for MiG-27K Kajra, the best (the most ad
  14. Oops, I didn't know this is a family forum, hope not to be mistaken so badly again... Does laserjet transfer blur as well as inkjet? I didn't try myself yet, but I assume that laser toner burns into slightly dissolved plastic, but ink only glues to surface and blurs because of dilutant fluid. But, if glueing printout works - let it work. I see. You told you machined some parts, so I thought you might have some 3-axis precise tool... I am very happy with mine Proxxon MF 70, helped me many times (one revolution = 1mm movement on every axis, so precise 1mm/0.5mm/0.25mm/0.125mm steps are eas
