  1. I haven't heard anything yet either. But it seems to me that the more something is hyped up and anticipated, the longer it takes to actually come out. If I had to make a bet, I'd say that we're not going to see either of these kits for at least a couple of years. That's not based on anything mathematical. It's just my gut feeling. Eric
  2. Hi guys! Not sure how many of us are in the Northeast Wisconsin area but for those of you who may not be aware, The EAA Airventure Museum will be holding its first annual model contest and show this weekend. It starts on Friday the 30th and will wrap up on Sunday the 2nd. Check out the EAA website or their Facebook page for more information. http://www.airventuremuseum.org/ Scroll to the bottom to see the ad for the show. If you're able to attend on Friday, for an extra $5 you can get up-close views inside the cockpits of several of their planes. There aren't a whole lot of model contes
  3. Chuck Norris was going to change his name to the most awesome thing imaginable but the name "Green Bay Packers" was already taken. Eric
  4. I love their kits but my excitement of their upcoming releases is seriously squelched by the thought of what their prices will be. Eric
  5. My prediction: My Packers will be so fabulous this year that they'll win the Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup and the Triple Crown all at once. They're that good. Eric
  6. I'd love to see a well-made 1/48 scale F2H Banshee. I know Testors came out with a crummy one (ex Hawk???) but I'd like to see a NICE kit of this 1st generation jet. As for Trumpeter, I will be at the front of the line to get one of their kits if I feel like paying 4x more for a kit with significant shape, detail and panel line issues. Eric
  7. I wonder if they fixed the problem. I know my -4 had big 'ol gapped teef for cowl flaps.
  8. You're all wrong. Clearly this Hellcat is actually LANDING in the hanger bay. See how everyone around the plane is ducking and running out of the way? Eric
  9. One bit of advice for the kit would be to get some aftermarket cowl flaps. The ones that come with the kit have such wide gaps in-between each flap that it is screamingly noticeable. I wish I could remember which aftermarket company produces it but do a Google search and you should be able to locate one. Good luck with the kit! I bought mine around seven or eight years ago and it stayed in my stash until I sold it last year. There were just too many little things in it that I'd have to deal with that it just became very unappealing to me. Ejector pin marks all over the place. The horren
  10. I'm going to guess that it's yet another Me-109, P-51 or Spitfire with a couple extra parts and triple the price! Yaaaaay.... zzzzzzzzzzz
  11. I just read in the preview that it has beautifully scribed pane lines. Well...there's one thing they've already screwed up. Eric
