  1. Some picyures from my back yard winter before last. My grandson and dog enjoying the new snow. ;)
  2. Just started reading for the second time a book called A Game of Thrones. It's from a series called A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. The series has four books as of now and book five is due to be released in july. I hadn't read a book in years until a friend at work suggested it to me. I enjoyed it so much I'm starting them again and should be ready for book five when it comes out. Highly recomended! ;)
  3. Rescribe the line, then glue streached sprue to the line. Lightly sand after dry. Now you have a nice slightly raised panel line. :P Tommy
  4. Hey Guys, try this for translation. I used it a couple days ago to register and it worked out fine. Don't translate the whole page, that didn't work. If you do blocks of text you'll do fine. Just copy & paste. You'll also need to translate your confirmation e-mail. they have some good WIP's on there for both of the big Tomcats. Tommy Forgot to add the link. http://babelfish.yahoo.com/
  5. Hey Guy's, someone asked earlier in the thread about the fit of the removable panels on the front fuselage so I thought I'd post a few pic's show what it looks like. All I did was cut the parts off with the sprue cutter, make one pass with a sanding stick and put the panels in place. Fit is not too bad IMO. Tommy
  6. Actually yesterday, but I was too busy to look at it until today. From Sprue Brothers: Trumpeter 1/32nd F-14D Tomcat. :P Tommy
  7. Hey guys, my new Tomcat was delivered yesterday and I just got done taking a good look at it. All I can say is WOW! The pictures online don't do it justice. Now I don't have the eye for contour and shape that some of you do, but it looks good to me. Done a little test fitting and so far the fit looks pretty good. Haven't tried everything yet so don't shake your finger at me if you find something that doesn't fit well. Overall I'm impressed and it makes me want to get a SuperBug now. Just hope I can sneak it by the wife like I did the Tomcat. Tommy
  8. Oh man! You guys are killin' me with this stuff!!! Tommy
  9. I like it! Great looking finish. Hope mine turns out that nice. Tommy
  10. I live very close to the local airport so I see aircraft every day. My house is right under the traffic pattern so I've got a pretty good spot. Last week : Classic B-24 & B-17 Bombers. :P Yesterday: Two Ah-1W Cobra's. Couldn't get to my camera in time or you would see them too. Tommy
  11. I really like what I see here. I will be buying the British version for sure. I've been around for a long time and it seems to me that Trumpeter is the ones that are giving the large scale modeler what we want. Sure there are some mistakes but like it's been said before, there's no such thing as the perfect model. I only speak for myself when I say I would rather have a model with a few mistakes than no model at all. I believe that pictures are the only reference they have for some of the details and we all know how pictures can distort a subject. Also it seem to me that Trumpeter is here show
