I agree with what you said...but on the other hand, AMK already had a 48scale Kfir our without bomb issues, they were made of aware of the fuselage issue AND FIXED IT ! Which other company would do that? Look at ZM, the fuselage issue on their Phantom was pointed out the day the first plastic pics of their -J version showed up! We are now at the 3rd kit of that line and the mistake has still not been corrected! AMK right now is a typical case of having laid the measuring stick very high with their first kits...small numbers though and no big popularity...and now are totally overwhelmed by

Well...Trumpi/HB already have a Tomcat and it's far from good! can be fixed but it's a lot of work. ;-)

...well, yes, but nothing dramtical. Worst point are the mis-molded bombs which are not a big issue for me. I guess it's more a general surprise after seeing previous AMK kist...

Waiting to get my hands on the new Kfir here in Europe... The bomb issue is not nice but not a deal breaker for me since I am after an agressor/fighter config anyway! The new fuselage looks very good. I do not have the old Kfir but I have Mirage kits and they look the same (Kfir is a beefed up Mirage 5 anyway). I can only repeat what I have said befoe...kudos to AMK for acknowledging constructive critisium and for correcting a major part of their product! I just wish ZM did the same with their Phantoms! cheers Uwe

Once you identify and correct the issues...mainly the intake angle...the rest of th ekit is really nice. What is also needed is to shorten the main LG legs...otherwise the cat sits too high. cheers Uwe

On the F-14...I think AMK is afraid of releasing this kit! They seem to be a rather small business and the (excellent) kits relased so far were of a type that only attracts a limited number of customers. An F-14 in 1/48 on the other hand is a main stream holy cow kit...just like a BF-109, Spitfire or a Phantom. And even though there is really no need for a new 109 in 1/48 since both Eduard and Zvezda are excellent, I am sure the new Tamiya 109 will sell in the 5 digit range within a month after it's apperance. The same would be true for, what is announced as the ultimate 1/48 Tomcat from AMK.

PS:...you got to love Revell Germany...I just called them and asked for am upper wing of their latest F-102 release, which is a case X wing, and I will get one now sent to me! :-) Great customer service. cheers Uwe

I think so too...unfortunately. Not that I do not have enough F-14s yet ;-) For the remider of this year I woul dbe happy to find a shop for the new Kfir kit, the one with the civilian markings, is Europe! cheers Uwe
